The present disclosure relates to an actuator for a brake device. The actuator includes a housing having a motor accommodating part and a gear accommodating part, a motor accommodated in the motor accommodating part, and a reduction device accommodated in the gear accommodating part, wherein the reduction device includes, a crossed helical gear reduction unit including a driving crossed helical gear coupled to a shaft of the motor, and a ring wheel provided with a driven crossed helical gear engaged with the driving crossed helical gear on an outer circumference thereof, and a planetary gear reduction unit including a sun gear rotating together with the ring wheel, a ring gear provided as an internal gear, a plurality of planetary gears engaged with the sun gear and the ring gear, and a carrier on which the plurality of planetary gears is rotatably supported and having an output shaft.

An actuator for a brake device according to embodiment of the disclosure includes a housing accommodating a motor, a power transmission unit connected to the motor, and a reduction gear unit connected to the power transmission unit; and a cover covering an open top of the housing and having a shaft support portion; wherein the reduction gear unit includes a worm wheel including a concave receiving groove on an upper surface thereof and a locking rib provided in the receiving groove, a sun gear supported rotatably on a bottom of the receiving groove and having a support rib contactable with the locking rib during rotation, and a clutch spring provided in a state of being slidably wound around an outer circumferential surface of the shaft support portion, and configured to tighten or loosen selectively an outer circumferential surface of the shaft support portion according to a rotation direction when the worm wheel and the sun gear are rotated relative to each other.

The electronic disc brake according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a disc configured to be rotated with a wheel, a caliper housing configured to operate pad plates installed at both sides of the disc, and an actuator including a piston provided in the caliper housing and configured to press the pad plates to bring the pad plates into contact with the disc, a spindle rotatably installed in the caliper housing to move the piston forward and backward, a motor configured to rotate the spindle, and a speed reduction apparatus configured to transmit a rotational force of the motor to the spindle, wherein the speed reduction apparatus includes a power connecting unit connected to the motor, a bracket provide above the motor and configured to support the power connecting unit, and a speed reduction gear unit configured to sequentially connect the power connecting unit and the spindle.

Electronic disc brake

The actuator includes a housing configured to have not only a motor accommodation part, but also a gear mounting part to which a deceleration gear unit is mounted. The gear mounting part includes not only a shaft hole formed to be penetrated at a center part of a top surface of the gear mounting part, but also a ring gear part formed along in an inner circumference of the gear mounting part. The deceleration gear unit includes a worm wheel configured to have a sun gear that is rotatably supported by an outer surface of the gear mounting part and is inserted into the gear mounting part through the shaft hole, a plurality of planetary gears engaged with the sun gear and the ring gear part within the gear mounting part, and a carrier coupled to the plurality of planetary gears to be rotatable, and provided with an output shaft.
