The display device includes a display panel and a pixel. A compensator configured to calculate a degradation rate of the pixel based on an input gray level of first image data, and compensates the first image data based on the degradation rate to generate second image data. A data driver configured to generate a data signal based on the second image data and configured to supply the data signal to the pixel. The pixel includes a first element group and a second element group connected in series to each other, the first element group includes at least one first light emitting element, and the second element group includes at least one second light emitting element. The compensator is to calculate the degradation rate by applying first information on the number of the first light emitting elements and second information on the number of the second light emitting elements.

Display device, electronic device, and image data compensating method of display device

According to embodiments of the disclosure, a pixel includes a driving transistor including a gate electrode, a first electrode electrically connected to a first power line and a second electrode electrically connected to a light emitting element, a body of a semiconductive layer constituting the driving transistor being electrically connected to the first power line.

Pixel and display device including the same

A pixel may include: a first transistor including a second electrode, a first electrode electrically connected to a first power line, and a gate electrode connected to a first node; a second transistor including a second electrode, a first electrode electrically connected to a data line, and a gate electrode electrically connected to a first scan line; a third transistor connected between the first node and the data line, and including a gate electrode electrically connected to a second scan line; a first capacitor including a first electrode connected to the second electrode of the second transistor, and a second electrode connected to the first node; a second capacitor connected between the first power line and the first node; and a light emitting element between a second power line and the first transistor, and including a second electrode electrically connected to the second power line.

Provided herein is a sub-pixel including first to seventh transistors, first and second capacitors, and a light emitting element, and a display device including the sub-pixel. A body terminal of the first transistor is connected to a first power line. In the sub-pixel and the display device including the sub-pixel in accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, mitigation of the body effect may lead to an improvement in display quality.

Sub-pixel and display device including the same

A display device includes: a display panel including pixels having light-emitting elements; a timing control unit for variably changing the driving frame frequency of the display panel according to the input frame frequency of digital video data; and a data driving unit for outputting data voltages according to the digital video data, wherein the display panel operates at a first frame frequency for a first frame period and operates at a second frame frequency, which is lower than the first frame frequency, for a second frame period, the second frame period includes a data addressing period in which a data voltage corresponding to each of the pixels is applied to the pixels, and a blank period in which no data voltage is applied to each of the pixels, and the blank period includes a period of initializing a first electrode of a light-emitting element into an initialization voltage.

A display device includes a display part, a degradation compensator that generates a first compensated grayscale value by compensating for a first grayscale value corresponding to a first pixel, and generates a second compensated grayscale value by compensating for a second grayscale value corresponding to a second pixel, and a data driver that generates a first data signal based on the first compensated grayscale value to supply the first data signal to the first pixel, and generates a second data signal based on the second compensated grayscale value to supply the second data signal to the second pixel. A second degradation curve is defined by a first degradation coefficient corresponding to a first degradation curve, and a second degradation coefficient corresponding to a first estimated degradation curve for the light conversion particles of a second color calculated by applying the first degradation curve.

Display device and degradation compensating method thereof

An afterimage compensator includes: a pixel data generator configured to generate characteristic data for one or more pixels from among a plurality of pixels by using a captured image; a stress accumulator configured to generate an accumulated stress for the one or more pixels in which stress corresponding to the one or more pixels is accumulated based on an image signal of a voltage domain; a domain converter configured to convert the accumulated stress for the one or more pixels from the voltage domain to accumulated stress data for the one or more pixels of a grayscale domain; and a compensator configured to generate compensation data using the characteristic data for the one or more pixels and the accumulated stress data for the one or more pixels.

Afterimage compensator, display device including the same, and method of compensating for image data of display device

A display device including pixels connected to a data line and a sensing line; a data driver supplying one of an image data signal and a sensing data signal to the data line; a sensing unit supplying an initialization voltage to at least one of the pixels through the sensing line and obtaining a sensing current value from at least one of the pixels through the sensing line; and a compensator generating compensation image data according to a sensing pixel current value among the sensing current value using an artificial neural network model learned to output reference image data corresponding to at least one reference sensing current value among the sensing current value.

Display device and driving method thereof

A display device includes an afterimage compensator generating output grayscales by applying at least one of first and second weights to input grayscales when the input grayscales correspond to a still image, and pixels displaying an image based on the output grayscales. The afterimage compensator applies the first weight having an initial value greater than 1 to the input grayscales of a first group, and converges the first weight to 1, and applies the second weight having initial values less than 1 to the input grayscales of a second group, and converges the second weights to 1.

A data driver includes a multi-channel sample/hold circuit electrically connected between a digital-to-analog converter and a data buffer. The multi-channel sample/hold circuit includes a first sample/hold circuit connected to a first channel and a second sample/hold circuit connected to a second channel. The first sample/hold circuit performs a first drive operation and a second drive operation. The first drive operation includes sampling a data voltage as a buffer input voltage and maintaining the buffer input voltage during an nhorizontal time. The second drive operation includes outputting the buffer input voltage to an output terminal of the buffer during an (n+1)horizontal time. The second sample/hold circuit performs the second drive operation during the nhorizontal time and performs the first drive operation during the (n+1)horizontal time.

Data driver with sample/hold circuit and display device including the same

A display device according to some embodiments includes pixels divided into pixel rows arranged in a horizontal direction, and including a light emitting element, and a first transistor for applying a drive current to the light emitting element, and a sensing driver configured to receive a sensing value extracted from one or more of the pixels, wherein at least one pixel row of the pixel rows is configured to be driven in one frame including an emission period in which the light emitting element emits light after a data voltage is applied to the pixels, and an active sensing period for sensing a characteristic of the first transistor.

A digital-to-analog converter ('DAC') converts digital image data into analog image signals. The DAC includes a stage outputting different voltages to a first output terminal and a second output terminal based on a voltage supplied to a first input terminal, a voltage supplied to a second input terminal, and a first input bit. The stage includes a switch circuit including switches that are alternately turned on by a control signal, and outputting an intermediate output voltage to a third output terminal based on a first input voltage supplied to the first input terminal and a second input voltage supplied to the second input terminal, and a selector outputting one of the first input voltage and the second input voltage, and the intermediate output voltage.

Digital-to-analog converter and driving circuit of display device including the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a data driver, and a power voltage generator. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels and configured to display an image. The data driver is configured to apply a data voltage to the display panel. The power voltage generator is configured to provide a power voltage and an initialization voltage to the display panel. The power voltage generator is configured to receive a feedback initialization voltage from the display panel and configured to compensate the initialization voltage based on the feedback initialization voltage.
