The present invention provides a hybrid composite sealant, as a sealing material for a planar type solid oxide fuel cell stack, having a matrix of a glass composition, wherein a surface layer reinforced with platelet reinforcement particles is laminated on either one or both surfaces of an inner layer reinforced with fibrous reinforcement particles. Accordingly, by applying the composite sealant of the present invention to the solid oxide fuel cell stack, excellent gas-tightness of the stack can be obtained even under low coupling pressure, thermal cycling durability can be enhanced due to low coupling strength with a contact surface of an object to be sealed, stack disassembly and maintenance can be facilitated when parts within the stack are disabled, and stack stability as well as stack performance can be maintained under a pressurized operation condition where pressure differentials between the inside and outside of the stack reach to 5 atmospheric pressures (0.5 MPa).

Hybrid sealing composite for flat solid oxide fuel cell stack

Disclosed is a paste for screen printing which is used in the fabrication of an anode functional layer, an electrolyte layer, or a cathode layer of an anode-supported solid oxide fuel cell. The paste contains a raw material powder, ethyl cellulose alpha terpineol, and an alcoholic solvent in which a thermosetting binder is soluble. Also provided is a method of fabricating an anode-supported solid oxide fuel cell using the paste. Thus, a reliable high-performance, large area solid oxide fuel cell that can be economically and efficiently fabricated is provided.

A method for preparing powder granules by a liquid condensation process comprising preparing a slurry by mixing powders, a binding agent and a binding agent soluble solvent, dropping the slurry to a binding agent insoluble solvent to fix the binding agent so that the binding agent can not be released to a surface of a droplet of the slurry, coagulating the droplet by solvent exchange between the soluble solvent inside the droplet and the insoluble solvent at the surface of the droplets, and separating the coagulated droplet from the insoluble solvent, drying it and completely removing a residual solvent.
