The method includes determining power at a first frequency band using a first receiver, simultaneously determining power at a second frequency band using a second receiver in a compressed mode, if the second receiver changes a power determination frequency band into the first frequency band, correcting the power determination value of the first receiver, and applying the corrected power determination value of the first receiver to the second receiver.

Apparatus and method for simplifying three-dimensional mesh data

A method and an apparatus are provided for managing cell-by-cell demodulation timing of an asynchronous user equipment (UE) for demodulating multipath signals, received from a plurality of cells, in a plurality of fingers. Mapping information, indicating fingers mapped on a cell-by-cell basis, and demodulation information and demodulation timing information for the plurality of cells are acquired. The fingers are grouped on a cell-by-cell basis according to the mapping information. Demodulation information for an associated cell is provided to each of the grouped fingers. A signal received from the associated cell is demodulated in the grouped fingers by using the demodulation information for the associated cell. System load and costs can be reduced by managing demodulation timings on a cell-by-cell basis in the UE that simultaneously perform data transmission/reception with the cells in which transmission timings are different from each other in a soft handover situation in an asynchronous mobile telecommunication system.

Method and apparatus for managing cell-by-cell demodulation timings of a user equipment in an asynchronous mobile telecommunication system

A cell search apparatus and method in a mobile communication system. After a UE acquires slot boundary timing and frame boundary timing to a Node B, it acquires its scrambling code number and scrambling code timing. After the initial cell search, the UE performs multi-path search by searching a first area with respect to the scrambling code timing. During reacquisition in a sleep state, the UE searches a second area wider than the first area with respect to a scrambling code timing acquired before the sleep state. The UE performs neighbor cell search by selectively using the initial cell search and the multi-path search according to whether the Node B provides information or what information it provides.

Each of at least two Node Bs transmits a first channel signal for providing a reference timing and a second channel signal different from the first channel signal and a UE has a plurality of fingers for demodulating the first channel signals.
