A connector is provided. The connector includes a connector body formed with a terminal portion, a locking body slidably coupled to the connector body, and a spring including a first leg portion fixed in position inside the connector body and a second leg portion making contact with the locking body. The spring is configured to apply a restoring force to the locking body in a direction in which the second leg portion is moved away from the first leg portion.

A connector according to an embodiment is provided. The connector may include: a body in which at least one terminal is inserted; a bridge formed on a first side of the body; a latch connected to a second side of the body and extending toward the bridge; and at least one connection rib having a first end connected to an inner side of the bridge and a second end connected to an outer side of the latch.

Connector and connector assembly including the same

The present invention relates to an electrical connector having a shorting bar and an operation device for controlling the shorting bar. The connector has a housing and electrical conductive terminals disposed in the housing. One or more metal shorting bars are attached to the housing, each shorting bar electrically connects two or more terminals as a protective measure to the systems connected to these terminals before the connector is connected to a counterpart connector. The operation device is movably disposed inside the housing. During the connecting process, the operation device is pushed by the counterpart connector to move relative to the housing towards the shorting bar. Upon completion of the connecting process, a portion of the operation device is inserted between the shorting bars and the terminals whereby the shorting bar are electrically isolated from the terminals to resume the original functions of these terminals.

An electrical connector assembly includes first and second connectors connectable to each other. The first connector has a first housing and a locking lever detachably and movably coupled thereto. The second connector has a second housing and a pair of protuberances formed on external surface of the second housing. When the locking lever is at an open position, first and second connectors are ready to be connected together. When the locking lever moves away from the open position towards a close position, the first and second connectors are guided by the locking lever to connect together and are prevented from being separated. A pair of stoppers are formed on the locking lever which engages the first housing to lock the lever at the open position. When the second connector is inserted into the first connector, the stoppers are released to allow the locking lever to move towards the close position.

Electrical connector assembly having locking device

A sealed electrical connector includes a housing having a terminal-fixing portion, a mating portion for connecting to a counterpart connector and a partition wall therebetween. Contact terminals are fixed into a terminal holder with contact portions protruding out of the terminal holder. The terminal holder is disposed in the terminal-fixing portion. A grommet is placed between the terminal holder and the partition wall. The contact portions extend to the mating portion through the partition wall and the grommet. Molten resin is injected into the terminal holder and fix and seal the contact terminals in the terminal holder. The grommet prevents the resin from leaking into the mating portion through the partition wall. Each contact terminal has a support bracket fixed thereon which supports the terminal in the terminal holder before resin injection. The support bracket allows contact terminals of difference dimension to be fitted and sealed in the housing.

Sealed electrical connector

The present invention relates to an electrical connector, which comprises means for preventing terminals from being deformed during connection of the connector. The electrical connector of the present invention comprises: a terminal position assuring member mounted to a connector housing; and a terminal protecting plate mounted to the terminal position assuring member. The terminal protecting plate comprises a first engaging element and the terminal position assuring member comprises a second engaging compactly configured since there is no need to provide any means for mounting or retaining the terminal protecting plate to the connector housing.
