A method of driving a plasma display apparatus including a scan electrode and a sustain electrode, that are positioned parallel to each other, are disclosed. The method includes supplying a scan signal to the scan electrode during an address period of a first subfield among a plurality of subfields of a frame, supplying a reset signal to the scan electrode during a reset period of a second subfield immediately following the first subfield, supplying a first signal between the scan signal and the reset signal to the scan electrode, and supplying a second signal overlapping the first signal to the sustain electrode. A pulse width of the second signal is smaller than a pulse width of the first signal.

Method of driving plasma display apparatus

A plasma display apparatus and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel including scan electrodes and sustain electrodes, a sensor unit for detecting a temperature or a peripheral temperature of the panel, and a scan driver for supplying reset signals to the scan electrodes in a reset period of at least one subfield among a plurality of subfields at a predetermined reference temperature so that a first period in which a lowest voltage of the reset signal is supplied is different from a supply period of a lowest voltage when the temperature or the peripheral temperature of the PDP deviates the predetermined reference temperature.

Plasma display apparatus and method of driving the same

A plasma display apparatus and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plurality of scan electrodes, a plurality of data electrodes, a scan driver and a data driver. The scan driver scans the plurality of scan electrodes during an address period in one scanning type of a plurality of scanning types having different scanning orders. Further, the scan driver supplies a scan signal, of which the duration of a voltage rising period is different from the duration of a voltage falling period, to the scan electrodes when scanning the scan electrodes. The data driver supplies a data signal to the data electrodes depending on the scanning type selected from the plurality of scanning types.

A plasma display apparatus is disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel, on which an image is displayed, and a filter positioned in front of the plasma display panel. A discharge gas filled in the plasma display panel contains xenon (Xe) equal to or more than 10% based on total weight of the discharge gas. The filter includes a base portion, and a pattern portion formed on the base portion, having a color darker than a color of the base portion.

An exhaust unit is omitted in the rear substrate. The discharge cell is filled with a discharge gas containing xenon (Xe) equal to or more than 10% based on total weight of the discharge gas.
