A display module may include a plurality of pixels, wherein each of the plurality of pixels includes a plurality of subpixels of different colors that are disposed in a matrix form. Each of the plurality of subpixels includes an inorganic light emitting element, a constant current generator which provides a constant current to the inorganic light emitting element, and a pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit which includes a first depletion mode driving transistor, and controls a time during which the constant current flows through the inorganic light emitting element based on a PWM data voltage applied to a gate terminal of the first depletion mode driving transistor and a threshold voltage of the first depletion mode driving transistor.

A display module is provided. The display module includes a plurality of pixels, a first substrate, a plurality of micro pixel packages provided on the first substrate, and a plurality of voltage lines electrically connected between a set of micro pixel packages of the plurality of micro pixel packages that are adjacent to each other in a first direction. Each of the plurality of micro pixel packages includes a second substrate, a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements provided on the second substrate, and a micro pixel controller provided on the second substrate and configured to control the plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements.

Display module, display apparatus, and method of manufacturing the same

In a display apparatus, a display panel includes a pixel array of pixels, each pixel disposed on one of a plurality of row lines and including a plurality of inorganic LEDs, and a sub pixel circuit corresponding to each of the plurality of LEDs. Each sub pixel circuit includes a PMOSFET driving transistor, and drives a corresponding LED based on an applied image data voltage. A sensing part senses a current through the driving transistor of at least one sub pixel circuit based on a specified voltage applied to the sub pixel circuit, and outputs corresponding sensing data. A correcting part corrects an image data voltage applied to the sub pixel circuit based on the sensing data. In each LED, an anode electrode is coupled to a common node to which a driving voltage is applied, and a cathode electrode is coupled to a source terminal of the driving transistor.

Display apparatus including pixel arrays formed of self-emissive devices

A display apparatus includes a display panel including: a pixel array in which pixels including a plurality of light-emitting elements are arranged in a plurality of row lines and sub-pixel circuits provided for each of the plurality of light-emitting elements and providing a driving current to the light-emitting elements. The display apparatus also includes a drive unit is configured to: set image data voltages to the sub-pixel circuits of the display panel in a row line order during a data setting period for each row line; and drive the sub-pixel circuits to provide the driving current to the light-emitting elements of the pixel array in the row line order based on a sweep signal sweeping from a first voltage to a second voltage and the set image data voltages during a light-emitting period for each row line.

Display apparatus

Disclosed is a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes: display modules, each of which includes: a display panel composed of inorganic light emitting elements arranged in row lines, and sub-pixel circuits respectively corresponding to the inorganic light emitting elements; and a driver configured to drive the sub-pixel circuits in an order of the row lines based on a start signal provided from a timing controller. The timing controller is configured to: provide a first start signal to the driver of a first display module to control the inorganic light emitting elements to sequentially emit light from a first row line to a last row line, and provide a second start signal to the driver of a second display module to control the inorganic light emitting elements to sequentially emit light following an emission order of the inorganic light emitting elements included in the last row line of the first display module.

A display apparatus is provided having a plurality of pixels, which are arranged in M columns and N rows and arranged with a constant row space therebetween. The display apparatus includes a plurality of display modules and a housing configured to support the plurality of display modules. Each of the plurality of display modules includes a plurality of pixel packages each including some pixels of the plurality of pixels, and a plurality of micro pixel controllers each controlling the pixels included in each of the plurality of pixel packages. A display module includes a display panel in which a plurality of pixels each including a plurality of sub-pixels are disposed on a plurality of row lines; and a driver. The driver is configured to set a PWM data voltage to the plurality of sub-pixels included in the plurality of row lines in a row line sequence, apply a sweep signal, which is a voltage signal sweeping between two different voltages, to sub-pixels among the plurality of sub-pixels that are included in at least some consecutive row lines among the plurality of row lines in the row line sequence, and drive the display panel to cause the sub-pixels included in the at least some consecutive row lines to emit light based on the PWM data voltage in the row line sequence.

Display module

A display module and a display apparatus including the same are provided. The display module includes a module substrate; pixels provided on the module substrate; and a micro-pixel controller configured to supply drive currents to the pixels. The micro-pixel controller includes: a first input pad for receiving a power voltage; a second input pad for receiving a data voltage; pixel circuits configured to output the drive currents to the pixels; a control circuit configured to distribute the power voltage and the data voltage to the pixel circuits; a first ESD protection circuit connected to the first input pad and the control circuit through a first voltage line and configured to transmit the power voltage to the control circuit; and a second ESD protection circuit connected to the second input pad and the control circuit through a second voltage line and configured to transmit the data voltage to the control circuit.

A display module includes a substrate; a plurality of pixels provided on a surface of the module substrate; a plurality of first micro-pixel controllers provided in spaces between the plurality of pixels, and a plurality of second micro-pixel controllers provided in a periphery area of the upper surface of the module substrate, wherein each of the plurality of first micro-pixel controllers controls two or more pixels of the plurality of pixels, and at least one function performed by the plurality of first micro-pixel controllers is different from at least one function performed by the plurality of second micro-pixel controllers.
