Disclosed is an electronic device including a wireless communication circuit, and a processor operably connected to the wireless communication circuit, wherein the processor is configured to identify a first channel for communication with an access point (AP) based on wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) and a second channel for direct communication with an external electronic device based on Wi-Fi direct, reconfigure a capability of the electronic device related to direct communication with the external electronic device when the first channel and the second channel are different, and transmit information about the reconfigured capability of the electronic device to the external electronic device through the wireless communication circuit.

The electronic device includes a display, communication circuitry, and a processor operatively connected to the display and the communication circuitry, wherein the processor is configured to transmit audio data to an external device through the communication circuitry, receive a user input for adjustment of a volume level of an audio output through the external device, in response to the user input, check whether a first volume level being set in the electronic device is within a specified range, select one of the first volume level of the electronic device or a second volume level of the external device to be adjusted corresponding to the user input based on whether the first volume level being set in the electronic device is within the specified range, display a volume panel UI comprising the selected one of the first volume level or the second volume level and a graphic object indicating the one of the electronic device or the external device, when adjusting the selected one of the first volume level or the second volume level, and change the graphic object indicating the selected one of the electronic device or the external device to a graphic object indicating other of the electronic device or the external device and switch the selected one of the first volume level or the second volume level to other of the first volume level or the second volume level to be adjusted corresponding to the user input, when adjusting the other of the first volume level or the second volume level while displaying the volume panel UI.

An electronic device is disclosed. An electronic device comprises a display, a communication circuit configured to communicate with a first peripheral device, a memory configured to store first authentication information associated with the first peripheral device, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to control the electronic device to: broadcast a first message via the communication circuit, receive a connection request message from the first peripheral device receiving the first message, authenticate the first peripheral device based on the first authentication information associated with the first peripheral device in response to the reception of the connection request message, and transmit screen data being displayed on the display to the first peripheral device via the communication circuit based on the authentication being valid.
