A pixel for an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display and an OLED display are discussed. The pixel includes a driving transistor, a first transistor, a scan transistor, a first emission control transistor, and an initialization control transistor. The driving transistor includes a gate electrode connected to a first node, a drain electrode connected to a second node, and a source electrode connected to a third node. The first transistor is connected between the first node and the second node. The scan transistor is connected between the third node and a data line. The first emission control transistor is connected between the second node and an anode electrode of an organic light emitting diode. The initialization control transistor is connected between an input terminal of an initialization voltage and the anode electrode of the organic light emitting diode.

An organic light-emitting display device and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The organic light-emitting display device includes a display panel including sub-pixels, a power supply configured to output a voltage for driving the sub-pixels, a selective driver configured to generate a control signal to selectively drive a drive transistor of the sub-pixels between first and second driving schemes, wherein the drive transistor is driven in a saturation region in the first driving scheme, and is driven in a linear region in the second driving scheme, and a gamma change driver configured to change a gamma based on the driving scheme selected by the selective driver.

Organic light-emitting display device and method of driving the same

A multi-display system and a driving method of the same are disclosed. The multi-display system includes a multi-display having a plurality of displays each including a sensor for sensing a user input pattern, a position detector configured to sequentially output extended display identification data (EDID) and time-position information together with display identification information of each of the displays based on user input pattern sensing information and display information input from each of the displays, an arrangement calculator configured to store the display identification information and the EDID and time-position information of each of the displays, and calculate arrangement positions of the displays based on the display identification information and the EDID and time-position information, and an image processor configured to divide and distribute an original image of an image source in accordance with the arrangement positions of the displays.

An organic light emitting diode display and a method for driving the same are disclosed. The organic light emitting diode display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a display panel driver configured to drive signal lines of the display panel, and a timing controller configured to divide one frame into a plurality of subframes, divide data of an input image at each bit, map the data of the input image to the plurality of subframes, control an operation of the display panel driver, and adjust data addressing speeds of the plurality of subframes for adjusting the emission times of the upper and lower display lines of the display panel differently.

Organic light emitting diode display and method for driving the same

Disclosed is an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display that includes a display panel including a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines crossing each other to define a plurality of pixels, each pixel including a driving transistor, a switching transistor, an OLED and a storage capacitor; a timing controller that receives pixel data of an input image and timing signals and time-divides a period of one frame into at least a driving sub-frame and a compensation sub-frame based on one or more of the timing signals; and a display panel driver that converts the pixel data into data voltages and supplies the data voltages to the plurality of data lines during the driving sub-frame, and that adjusts compensation gray levels of the plurality of pixels or compensation duties of the plurality of pixels based on a luminance map, which contains information on a luminance deviation for each pixel with respect to a same gray level, during the compensation sub-frame.

An organic light-emitting display device including a display panel, a power supply, a selective driver and a gamma change driver is disclosed. The display panel includes sub-pixels. The power supply is configured to output a drive voltage for driving the sub-pixels. The selective driver is configured to generate a control signal to enable selective drive between first and second driving schemes for a drive transistor in each sub-pixel, wherein the first and second schemes employ saturation and linear regions of the drive voltage curve respectively. Organic light-emitting display device and method for driving the same

The present invention provides an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display apparatus displaying a grayscale of one frame with N number of subfields. The OLED display apparatus includes a display panel where pixels are defined by an intersection of data lines and gate lines, a gate driving unit that provides a scan signal to the gate line, and a data driving unit that controls a data voltage in an analog manner. A special mode processor drives a display panel to display an image. When the display panel is configured to operate in a special operation mode, the special operation mode processor determines a pixel block size for blocking the plurality of pixels into a plurality of pixel blocks and determines a first set of on-pixels and a first set of off-pixels. The first set of on-pixels is initially turned on and the first set of off-pixels is initially turned off. A drive history representative value is generated for the first group of pixels that represents a drive time and drive characteristic for the first group of pixels.
