A display system includes a display device and a host processor. The display device includes a display panel. The host processor is configured to provide input image data for a current frame and a vertical sync start signal to the display device and to provide the input image data of the current frame and the vertical sync start signal again to the display device in response to receiving a refresh control signal from the display device. The display device is configured to refresh the display panel based on the input image data and the vertical sync start signal, compare the input image data of a previous frame with the input image data of a current frame, and provide the refresh control signal to the host processor based on a result of the compare.

A transceiver includes a transmitter which transmits frame data through a first interface during a frame period including a vertical back porch period, a vertical active period, a vertical front porch period, and a variable vertical front porch period, and a receiver connected to the transmitter through the first interface and a second interface. The receiver transmits a start pulse of a synchronization signal to the transmitter through the second interface before starting transmission of the frame data. The transmitter transmits synchronization pulses of the synchronization signal to the receiver through the second interface during the variable vertical front porch period.

The driving controller generates a second clock signal having second pulses in response to a first clock signal having first pulses from an external device. The display panel includes pixels.
