A display device includes a display panel, pixels on the display panel, data and gate drivers, a timing controller which applies control signals respectively to the data and gate drivers, and a power management integrated circuit ('PMIC') which applies a driving voltage to the data and gate drivers. The timing controller detects an operational condition of the display panel and selects one of stored power setting values to output the selected one of the power setting values to the PMIC. The PMIC includes, first and second storage banks, a controller which receives the power setting value from the timing controller, stores the power setting value in one of the first and second storage banks, and calls the stored power setting value to determine the driving voltage, and a power generator which applies the driving voltage based on the driving voltage determined by the controller.

Power control circuit for display device

A power supply device includes a power circuit, feedback circuit, compensation circuit, and PWM controller. The power circuit generates an output voltage based on a PWM signal. The feedback circuit outputs a feedback voltage. The compensation circuit compares a reference voltage with the feedback voltage and outputs a compensation signal based on a comparison result. The PWM controller adjusts the duty ratio of the PWM signal based on the compensation signal. The compensation circuit includes a comparator to compare the feedback voltage with the reference voltage, a first voltage adjuster to adjust a voltage level of a compensation voltage based on the comparison result, and a compensator output the compensation signal based on the voltage level of the compensation voltage. The compensation signal has a width in a high section that varies. The booster boosts the response speed of the compensator in a predetermined section based on a control signal.

Power supply device and display device including the same

A display device includes: a first data driving chip including: a first data driving circuit to generate a first data signal; and a first sensor to sense a first overcurrent flowing in the first data driving circuit based on a first power current flowing in the first data driving circuit to generate a first signal; a second data driving chip including: a second data driving circuit to generate a second data signal; and a second sensor to sense a second overcurrent flowing in the second data driving circuit based on a second power current flowing in the second data driving circuit to generate a second signal; and a power controller to control first and second powers respectively supplied to the first and second data driving chips, and to block at least one of the first and second powers based on at least one of the first and second signals.

A voltage generation circuit of a display device includes an over-current detection circuit that provides a driving voltage to a voltage terminal and outputs an over-current detection signal. The over-current detection circuit includes a current detector that outputs a detection signal at a first level when a voltage corresponding to an output current flowing through the voltage terminal during a blank period, in which a blank signal is activated, is lower than a first reference level or higher than a second reference level, a glitch remover that outputs a noise detection signal when a time period in which the detection signal is maintained at the first level is longer than a reference maintenance time, and a noise filter that activates the over-current detection signal when the noise detection signal is activated at least twice during a predetermined time period.

Voltage generation circuit having over-current protection function and display device having the same

A power supply device includes n power supply circuits connected in parallel and a controller to control a number of the operating power supply. The controller includes n detectors, a comparator, and an on/off controller. The n detectors are respectively connected to the n power supply circuits. The n detectors receive feedback current from the number of operating power supply circuits. The comparator compares the feedback current with predetermined first and second reference currents and outputs first, second, and third state signals. The on/off controller determines the number of the operating power supply circuits according to a cumulative number of each of the first to third state signals during a predetermined window section, and controls a on/off state of the power supply circuits according to the determined number.

A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a first dummy substrate on the first substrate, and a second dummy substrate extending from the first dummy substrate and bent. The second dummy substrate is on different side surfaces of the first substrate in a first direction.
