A hybrid vehicle may include: an engine including a plurality of cylinders for generating power required for driving the hybrid vehicle by combustion of fuel; a first motor starting the engine and selectively operating as a generator to generate electrical energy; a second motor generating power required for driving the hybrid vehicle; a clutch provided between the engine and the second motor; and a controller configured for synchronizing a velocity of the second motor and an engine velocity and for coupling the clutch, in a transition section in which the engine moves from a stop state to an optimal operation point area as an operation area of the engine, and gradually decreasing a torque of the second motor and gradually adjusting the number of combusted cylinders among the plurality of combustion chambers to gradually increase the engine torque.

The apparatus includes a supercharger that supplies compressed air to a the combustion chamber of the engine and a spark plug that ignites mixed air supplied to the combustion chamber. An intake valve selectively opens and closes the combustion chamber for inflowing the mixed air therein. A variable valve apparatus adjusts an opening timing and closing timing of the intake valve and a controller adjusts an ignition timing of the spark plug and the closing timing of the intake valve through the variable valve apparatus based on the operating region of the engine.

An engine system includes an engine with a combustion chamber, an intake line in which external air flows, and an exhaust line in which exhaust gas flows. A compressor is disposed in the intake line and rotated with a turbine to compress external air. A first recirculation line is branched off from the exhaust line and merged into the intake line. An EGR cooler cools exhaust gas flowing through the first recirculation line. A second recirculation line is branched off from the first recirculation line. A bypass line is branched off from the first recirculation line between an electric supercharger and the EGR cooler. A three-way valve is disposed where the bypass and first recirculation lines join. An intake valve is disposed in the intake line between where the first recirculation line and intake valve join and where the bypass line and intake valve join.
