A portable electronic device is provided having a foldable housing, a flexible display, and a hinge structure. The hinge structure includes a hinge cover, a rotary shaft assembly substantially accommodated in the hinge cover under the flexible display, and including a first rotary shaft and a second rotary shaft substantially parallel to each other. The hinge structure also includes a first arm structure and a second arm structure rotatably coupled with the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft, respectively. The hinge structure further includes a guide member connected with the rotary shaft assembly and including a recessed area located substantially between the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft when viewed from above the flexible display. The recessed area is configured to accommodate at least part of a third display portion when the foldable housing is at least partially folded.

Disclosed is a foldable electronic device that provides an improved mechanism by which interference between the support plate and other structures in the electronic device is prevented, thereby decreasing the vulnerability to damage of the display panel and the thickness of the foldable electronic device.

An apparatus and a method for controlling a vehicle calculate a distance from a following vehicle and a relative speed of the following vehicle, if the following vehicle is detected on the rear side of a host vehicle based on detection information received from a detection module detecting an object around the host vehicle, determine a probability of a potential collision of the following vehicle with the host vehicle based on the distance from the following vehicle and the relative speed of the following vehicle, and accelerate or decelerate a traveling speed of the host vehicle, or adjust brake torque of the host vehicle, if the potential collision of the following vehicle with the host vehicle is predicted. When a probability of a potential collision with the following vehicle is predicted, injuries to a driver and occupants can be prevented or reduced.
