A system and a method of controlling a hybrid electric vehicle shift are disclosed. The system includes an engine and a drive motor operating as power sources and a transmission receiving driving torque from one of the engine and the drive motor. A data detector detects a state data for operating the transmission. A vehicle controller calculates a creep torque and an engine setting torque using the state data, determines whether a shift control condition is satisfied based on a position value of an accelerator pedal, calculates an available motor torque using a motor speed at an actual shift start point and a target motor speed when the shift control condition is satisfied, and calculates a first shift input torque using the creep torque, the engine setting torque, the available motor torque, and a first torque apply ratio. The transmission is operated based on the first shift input torque.

System and method of controlling shift for hybrid electric vehicle

A control system of a hybrid vehicle includes: an engine that generates power by burning fuel; a driving motor that assists the power from the engine by generating power using electricity supplied from a battery; an integrated starter-generator that starts the engine and charges the battery by operating selectively as a power generator; an atmospheric sensor that measures the atmospheric pressure; a temperature sensor that measures the temperature of intake air flowing into the engine; and a controller that calculates a control factor, using the atmospheric pressure measured by the atmospheric sensor and the temperature of intake air measured by the temperature sensor, and adjusts a State of Charge (SOC) charge band between an SOC where charging the battery is started and an SOC where a hybrid vehicle runs in a charge mode, in accordance with the magnitude of the control mode.

Control system of hybrid vehicle and method thereof

A control method of a hybrid vehicle is provided and includes determining whether a current vehicle driving mode is an EV mode, whether a current vehicle driving state satisfies a kick-down shift condition, and whether the current vehicle driving state satisfies a driving mode conversion condition for conversion into an HEV mode. The engine is started when the kick-down shift and the driving mode conversion conditions are satisfied. A current motor speed and discharging power of the battery are measured. The measured motor speed and predetermined motor reference speed are compared based on discharging power of the battery. A transmission input shaft target speed for the kick-down shift is calculated and compared to a predetermined transmission input shaft target reference speed based on discharging power of the battery. A control order is determined based on the comparisons and the kick-down shift and the engagement of the engine clutch are performed.
