A variable valve lift actuator of an engine includes a first body that rotates within a predetermined angular range; a second body connected to or disconnected from the first body; a latching pin configured to project to or retract from the first body by passing through the second body to connect or disconnect the first body and the second body; a drive module connected to the latching pin through a connecting member to project or retract the latching pin; a rotary shaft disposed above the valve across both side walls of the first body and the second body such that the first body is rotatable; and a return spring installed on the rotary shaft to provide a restoring force to return the first body rotated by the high-speed cam to an original position thereof.

Provided is a variable valve lift actuator of an engine, which includes: a first body rotating; a second body; a driving module; and a return spring, wherein an entire portion or a partial front end of the driving module is inserted into a rear end of the second body, the lift degree of the valve is variably controlled in two stages of a high-speed mode and a low-speed mode based on an operating condition of the engine, and when only the high-speed cam is installed on the camshaft, the driving pin is operated in a low-speed and low-load state of the engine to separate the first body from the second body so as to deactivate a cylinder.

A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine includes a first body rotated at within a preset angle range by rotating a high-speed cam coupled to a camshaft, a second body coupled to the first body or decoupled from the first body and rotated within a preset angle range by rotating a low-cam coupled to the camshaft when the second body is decoupled from the first body, a latching pin provided retractably forward of the first body such that the first body is coupled to or decoupled from the second body, and an actuating unit to retractably actuate the latching pin. The degree of the lift of the valve is variably controlled in two stages of high-speed and low-speed modes through the rotary motion of the high speed cam or low speed cam by coupling or decoupling the first and second bodies to or from each other.

The continuously variable valve lift actuator of an engine changes rotating angles of a rocker arm and a lift arm having a four-bar link structure to control an intake amount of air of an intake valve based on a running state of a vehicle, and adjusts a location and a length of a link bar by taking into consideration a rotating direction of a cam shaft and interference according to layout of the engine to advance an open time of a valve. The continuously variable valve lift actuator of an engine can reduce pumping loss by controlling an intake amount of air by changing an elevating distance of a valve according to a running state of a vehicle, and the fuel efficiency and the efficiency of the engine can be improved by advancing the open time of the valve.
