A carbon nitride heterogeneous catalyst containing rhodium, a method for preparing the catalyst, and a method for preparing acetic acid using the catalyst is disclosed. The heterogeneous catalyst is characterized in that the rhodium metal is contained in carbon nitride which is a support insoluble in a liquid solvent, such as water or alcohol. Thus, the catalyst can easily be separated from a resulting product even by a simple process such as filtration. Accordingly, the carbon nitride heterogeneous catalyst exhibits excellent long-term stability and activity by being capable of overcoming the disadvantages of the method using a conventional homogeneous catalyst and minimizing the phenomenon of rhodium leaching, compared to the results of the conventional homogeneous catalytic reactions. The present invention relates to a mesoporous cobalt-metal oxide catalyst for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and a method of preparing the same. The mesoporous cobalt-metal oxide catalyst for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of the present invention can very stably maintain the mesoporous structure even under a H-rich high-temperature reduction condition and under a reaction condition of the low-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, easily transport reactants to the active site of the catalyst due to structural stability, and facilitate the release of heavier hydrocarbon products after production thereof. Additionally, unlike the conventional cobalt-based catalysts which are prepared by adding various co-catalysts for the purpose of improving reducibility, activity, selectivity and increasing thermal stability, etc., the mesoporous cobalt-metal oxide catalyst for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis can constantly maintain conversion and selectivity at high levels without further requiring co-catalysts and thus it can be very effectively used for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

Disclosed is a reaction device for producing hydrocarbons from synthesis gas, in which hydrocarbons, olefins, oxygenates, etc., are produced over a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst by using synthesis gas, so that the catalyst particles can easily be from a slurry which is discharged to the outside. That is, the present invention provides a reaction device for producing hydrocarbons from synthesis gas, in which an internal filter system for separating particles enlarged due to agglomeration phenomenon of a catalyst is installed inside the reactor, and a separating device is separately disposed outside, such that it is possible to recirculate only particles having a size appropriate for performing F-T synthesis in the slurry phase, and additionally, it is possible to effectively discharge and process a catalyst aggregated due to a combination of fine catalyst particles, the catalyst chipped off during the operation, etc., liquid hydrocarbon, resulting water, etc., in the slurry phase reactor.

Reaction device for producing hydrocarbons from synthesis gas

Disclosed is a method for methanol synthesis using synthesis gas obtained from reforming of natural gas with carbon dioxide. First, synthesis gas is obtained from steam carbon dioxide reforming of methane, in which steam reforming of natural gas is carried out simultaneously with carbon dioxide reforming of methane, by using a catalyst (Ni/Ce/MgAlO, or Ni/Ce&#x2014;Zr/MgAlO) and processing condition capable of maintaining a predetermined ratio of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen [H/(2CO+3CO)=0.85-1.15]. Next, methanol synthesis is carried out by using the obtained synthesis gas and a catalyst system suitable for methanol synthesis with minimum byproduct formation (a catalyst system including a Cu&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Al oxide containing CuO, ZnO, and AlOat a predetermined ratio in combination with a cerium-zirconium oxide obtained by a sol-gel process). In addition, unreacted synthesis gas remaining after the operation of methanol synthesis is recycled efficiently to improve the carbon availability (methane and COavailability) and energy efficiency in the overall process.

Method for methanol synthesis using synthesis gas generated by combined reforming of natural gas with carbon dioxide

Disclosed are a catalyst for synthesis of methanol from synthesis gas and a method for preparing the same. The catalyst includes a Cu&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Al oxide containing CuO, ZnO and AlOin a predetermined ratio or Cu&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Zr oxide containing CuO, ZnO, AlOand ZrOin a predetermined ratio, in combination with a cerium-zirconium oxide obtained by a sol-gel process. As compared to the existing Cu&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Al catalysts for synthesizing methanol, the catalyst disclosed herein inhibits formation of byproducts and improves yield of methanol. Therefore, it is possible to improve methanol purification efficiency and carbon conversion efficiency.
