According to embodiments, provided is an antenna comprising: a substrate of a square shape including first to fourth corners; a radiation unit disposed on the substrate and including a first radiation unit and a second radiation unit that radiate a wireless signal; a first feed line that applies the wireless signal to the first radiation unit; a second feed line that applies the wireless signal to the second radiation unit and has an extension line that perpendicularly intersects with an extension line of the first feed line; and a ground portion disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from the radiation unit and having at least a portion of a boundary area including a step shape, wherein the ground unit includes a shared ground unit that is disposed diagonally from a first edge to a third edge, is located between the first radiation unit and the second radiation unit, and performs impedance matching of the first radiation unit and the second radiation unit.

A control system connected to a plurality of array antenna performs beamforming. The control system comprises a beam radiation controller for requesting a predetermined first antenna group to radiate beams and requesting a second antenna group including the first antenna group to radiate beams to an optimized sector, a beam receiver for receiving response beams from the first antenna group and the second antenna group, and a sector selector for setting up an optimized sector based on the received beams for the first antenna group, and transmitting information on the optimized sector to the beam radiation controller in order to control the second antenna group to radiate beams to the optimized sector.

Beamforming array antenna control system and method for beamforming using the same

A method for adjusting a beam pattern in a beam pattern adjusting apparatus in a communication system supporting a Beam Division Multiple Access (BDMA) scheme is provided. The method includes determining whether a Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) value for each antenna included in an antenna array included in the beam pattern adjusting apparatus is greater than or equal to a threshold VSWR value, if it is determined that an antenna of the antenna array has a VSWR value that is greater than or equal to the threshold VSWR, detecting whether each of the antenna elements is operable, and if it is determined that at least one of the antennas is inoperable, adjusting a beam pattern of at least one of the antennas that is operable.

Apparatus and method for adjusting beam pattern in communication system supporting beam division multiple access scheme

A control system connected to a plurality of array antenna performs beamforming. In order to perform the beamforming, the control system receives response beams inputting to a first antenna group predetermined from a plurality of array antenna in response to radiate beams and decides a sector having comparatively stronger intensity. And the control system receives response beams inputting to a second antenna group, decides a plurality of beam levels and decides a final beam pair among the plurality of the decided beam levels.
