A method for converting source data to a channel-modulated signal having a plurality of pairs of in-phase (I) and quadrature-phase (Q) data in a mobile station, wherein the mobile station uses at least one channel, includes the steps of: a) encoding the source data to generate at least one data part and a control part; b) generating at least one spreading code to be allocated to the channel, wherein each spreading code is selected on the basis of a data rate of the data part and the control part and spreading codes are selected so that two consecutive pairs of the I and Q data are correspondent to two points located on same point or symmetrical with respect to a zero point on a phase domain; and c) spreading the control part and the data part by using the spreading code, to thereby generate the channel-modulated signal.

Constant amplitude decoding apparatus and method for multiplexed direct-sequence spread communication system

A medium access control (MAC) technique of a multihop sensor network. In the multihop sensor network, the MAC technique may contribute to significantly reducing transmission delay, and allow real-time services to be provided to all nodes by extending a guaranteed time slot (GTS) restricted to one hop in a personal area network (PAN) coordinator (PNC) to all nodes. Furthermore, the MAC technique may allow the number of available GTSs to be significantly increased, by using all 16 frequency band channels instead of using only a single frequency band and setting a multi-superframe.

Provided is a symbol synchronization apparatus and method of a passive RFID reader. The symbol synchronization apparatus includes: an edge clock detector generating edge clocks by detecting phase inversion positions of a received signal; a preamble detector detecting a preamble section by analyzing the generation times of the edge clocks; a symbol decision time extractor extracting a symbol decision time by averaging distances between the edge clocks consecutively generated in the preamble section, when the preamble section is detected; and a symbol decider deciding a symbol by analyzing the magnitude of the received signal, when the time reaches the symbol decision time.

Disclosed are a passive RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system and method capable of recognizing a great deal of tags at a high speed. A reader of a passive RFID system, including: a processor dividing slots and subchannels to configure a round, recognizing subchannels that are not involved in a collision and interference by the slots, and changing the subchannels that are not involved in a collision and interference, into a sleep state; a transmission unit encoding a command generated through the processor, performing an amplitude jitter modulation on the encoded command, and transmitting the modulated command; and a reception unit acquiring and demodulating tag signals received through a plurality of subchannels by the slots, and providing the demodulated tag signals to the processor.

Passive RFID system and method

The present invention relates to a near-field antenna. In an aspect, the near-field antenna may include a dielectric layer, a ground plane formed on one side of the dielectric layer, a plurality of U-shaped slots periodically disposed in the ground plane for radiation, and a microstrip line provided on the other side of the dielectric layer for power feeding. In another aspect, the near-field antenna may include a dielectric layer, a ground plane formed on one side of the dielectric layer, a plurality of U-shaped slots periodically disposed in the ground plane for radiation, and a microstrip line configured to have a plurality of U-shaped slots diverged on the other side of the dielectric layer in parallel for power feeding, have the plurality of U-shaped slots periodically disposed in series in respective diverged lines, and have an end shorted to form standing waves.

There is provided a mesh routing method in beacon-enabled wireless AD-HOC networks that includes: broadcasting, by nodes constituting a wireless AD-HOC network, a beacon message loading neighbor node information on a beacon payload; managing, by a node receiving the broadcasted beacon message, its own neighbor node table by extracting the neighbor node information loaded on the beacon payload; and performing, by a source node attempting to transmit data or commands, mesh routing on the basis of its own neighbor node table.

There are provided an adaptive collision avoidance apparatus and a method in a channel-hopping based wireless AD-HOC networks. The adaptive collision avoidance apparatus is configured to include a channel quality measuring unit that measures the quality of each channel by using receiving frames; an unavailable channel classifying unit that classifies unavailable channels not to perform communications in the future based on information on the quality of each channel; an unavailable channel propagating unit that transfers a list of unavailable channels classified as unavailable channels to adjacent nodes; and a transceiver that transmits and receives frames through channels not classified as the unavailable channels.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for constant amplitude encoding of a transmission signal in a CDM (Code Division Multiplexing) communication system. The apparatus for constant amplitude encoding of a transmission signal includes: an encoding module sequentially performing horizontal encoding and vertical encoding on an input signal; and a spreading and multiplexing module spreading the signal which has been encoded by the encoding module and multiplexing the spread signal in a vertical direction to output a data stream having a constant amplitude.

Provided are an ad-hoc wireless communication method using a sector antenna, a recovery method in ad-hoc wireless communication, and an ad-hoc wireless communication system.
