Provided are a next generation in-building relay system and method. The system includes: a 5G signal providing unit configured to down-convert a millimeter wave radio frequency signal to an intermediate frequency signal; a 5G master hub unit configured to convert the intermediate frequency signal into a radio over fiber (RoF) signal and transmit the RoF signal; an optical coupling unit configured to couple a digital optical signal output from a master hub unit and the analog optical signal output from the 5G master hub unit and transmit the coupled signal to an optical cable; and an optical distribution unit configured to separate the digital optical signal and the analog optical signal from the coupled signal, transmit the digital optical signal to a remote optical relay unit, and transmit the analog optical signal to distributed remote units.

Next generation in-building relay system and method

Provided are a 5G in-building relay system and a 5G in-building relay method for sharing an RF cable to provide a 5G communication service in the building. The 5G in-building relay system includes: a 5G signal providing device for converting RF signals of a 5G into IF signals and providing the IF signals through a pre-built RF cable of the building; an MHU for receiving and transmitting the IF signals; a coupling device for combining the IF signals with radio signals other than the 5G received from an ROU pre-built in the building and providing the combined signals through the RF cable; a distribution device for receiving the combined signals and separating and distributing the IF signals of the 5G from the combined signals; and a DRU for converting the distributed IF signals into millimeter-wave RF signals and wirelessly transmitting the RF signals to a 5G terminal.

5G in-building relay system and 5G in-building relay method for sharing RF cable in building

The disclosure is related to adaptive load management in a femtocell network. A load state of a femtocell base station may be determined as one of a low load state, a middle load state, and a high load state. According to the determined load state, a reserved service capacity and an available service capacity of the femtocell base station may be adaptive controlled. Furthermore, at least one handover trigger condition associated with the femtocell base station may be controlled according to the determined load state of the femtocell base station.

Load management

A hub apparatus may be provided for distributing a load of a small cell digital unit to a macro cell digital unit in a heterogeneous network. The hub apparatus includes an offloading controller configured to determine a first small cell, as an offloading target among a plurality of small cells based on a load of the macro cell digital unit and the small cell digital unit, to determine a first digital unit processing a load of the first small cell among at least one macro cell digital unit, to that generate a first control signal that requests connection to the first digital unit and a low-power radio unit of the first small cell, a path change unit connected to each of an antenna, having one side installed in the macro cell and a low-power radio unit installed in each small cell, having the other side connected to each of the macro cell digital unit and the small cell digital unit, configured to form a path connecting the one side and the other side, and configured to change a digital unit connected to a corresponding low-power radio unit based on the first control signal.

Hub apparatus of heterogeneous network and method of offloading the same

A wired/wireless convergence apparatus may be provided for integrally transmitting wired network traffic and wireless network traffic in an in-building cloud network composed of a plurality of digital units and a plurality of radio units includes. The wired/wireless convergence apparatus may include a traffic monitoring unit and a wired/wireless traffic control unit. The traffic monitoring unit may be configured to monitor wireless network traffic and wired network traffic input to the in-building cloud network. The wired/wireless traffic control unit may be configured to allocate wireless network traffic resources to optical fibers on the basis of monitored information of the traffic monitoring unit and to allocate wired network traffic to idle resources remaining after allocation of the wireless network traffic.

A smart metering system using a white space band includes a band search sensor installed in a predefined area which scans a digital public broadcast channel band; a band management server which manages area specific broadcast channel status information based on a scanning result obtained by the band search sensor and which searches a white space band that is an idle channel band of a corresponding area based on the broadcast channel status information to allocate the white space band as a smart metering data transmission channel; and a base station which allocates the smart metering data transmission channel from the band management server and which forms a wireless communication channel between a smart meter and a grid central server via the allocated smart metering data transmission channel.

An adaptive feedback estimation and cancellation (AFEC) apparatus includes: a controller for generating and outputting control information by using a synchronization signal from an external synchronization acquisition unit and base station information, in order to remove a feedback signal that exists in a forward/reverse repeater signal to be repeated and then send the forward/reverse repeater signal; a first feedback prediction canceller for adaptively removing a feedback signal that exists in the forward repeater signal based on the control information from the controller and automatically adjusting the gain of the forward repeater signal; and a second feedback prediction canceller for adaptively removing a feedback signal that exists in the reverse repeater signal based on the control information from the controller and automatically controlling the gain of the reverse repeater signal.
