A seat airbag includes a cushion part mounted to a seatback of a seat, at least two chambers connected to each other in a vertical direction of the seatback, and an inflator provided to supply inflating gas to the cushion part.

Seat airbag

A technology of improving the expansion speed and the expansion balance of an airbag cushion by improving the folding structure of the airbag cushion is proposed. An automotive side airbag is provided, in which a first state is implemented by folding a front end of an airbag cushion inside toward a rear end of the airbag cushion, a second state implemented by folding an upper end a lower end of the airbag cushion over a middle portion, and then a third state is implemented by rolling the airbag cushion, and a method of folding the automotive side airbag.

Automotive side airbag and method of folding same

A curtain airbag is proposed to improve the deployability of an airbag cushion while simplifying the structure of the curtain airbag by forming a sub-chamber. The curtain airbag includes a main chamber of an airbag cushion secured to an upper end inside a vehicle body to be deployed to a lower end thereof, a first sub-chamber of the airbag cushion deployed above a pillar trim while pushing the vehicle body to move the main chamber towards a center of a vehicle, and a second sub-chamber of the airbag cushion deployed between an end of the pillar trim and the main chamber, thus pushing the main chamber to prevent the main chamber from being caught by the end of the pillar trim.

Curtain airbag

Proposed is an automotive side airbag including: an inflator ejecting gas when operating; an air cushion expanded and unfolded forward from a side of a passenger by the gas ejected from the inflator; and a diffuser disposed in the air cushion, supplying the gas ejected from the inflator to the air cushion, and having a discharge hole formed across a direction in which the air cushion is unfolded by the supplied gas.

Automotive side airbag and method of operating same

A curtain airbag apparatus may include: a cushion part disposed at the top of a pillar part; one or more guide members connected to the cushion part and configured to fix the cushion part to a vehicle body; and a cushion moving part connected to the cushion part, disposed between the guide members and the vehicle body, fixed to the guide members, and configured to deform the guide members to move the cushion part to an indoor side of the vehicle body, while inflated by gas injected from an inflator.

Curtain airbag apparatus

A roof airbag apparatus may include: a gas injection unit configured to discharge gas; a tether guide extending in a longitudinal direction of a roof; and an airbag configured to be deployed by gas transferred from the gas injection unit. The airbag may include: a first chamber part coupled to the tether guide and configured to be deployed in a longitudinal direction of the tether guide by gas transferred from the gas injection unit; and a second chamber part coupled to the first chamber part, and configured to be deployed by gas transferred from the first chamber part and cover the first chamber part.

Roof airbag apparatus

An airbag apparatus may include: a first chamber connected to an inflator, and supporting the head of a passenger in case of a head-on collision of a vehicle; a second chamber connected to one side of the first chamber, and suppressing the head of the passenger from moving in a diagonal direction in case of an oblique collision of the vehicle; a communication tube formed on the first chamber to introduce gas of the first chamber into the second chamber, and having a tightening channel formed along the circumference thereof; and a valve tether including: a tether ring installed through the inside of the tightening channel; and a tether puller connected to the tether ring to pull the tether ring in one direction, and closing the communication tube by pulling the tether ring when the first chamber is completely deployed.

Airbag apparatus

A curtain airbag apparatus may include: an inflator part configured to inject gas; a main cushion part expanded by the gas injected from the inflator part, and coupled to a car body; and a cushion moving part interposed between the main cushion part and the car body, and expanded by the gas injected from the inflator part so as to move the main cushion part. The gas transferred to the cushion moving part may be passed through the cushion moving part and transferred to the main cushion part.

Provided is a curtain airbag apparatus capable of preventing a head of an occupant from being moved forward at the time of an oblique collision of the vehicle. To this end, a curtain airbag apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: an auxiliary airbag which is coupled to the curtain airbag, is inflated when gas flows into the auxiliary airbag, and protrudes into the interior of a vehicle; and a support panel which is coupled to the curtain airbag and the auxiliary airbag, and supports the protruding auxiliary airbag.

A curtain airbag apparatus includes an inflator configured to generate gas, an airbag configured to be inflated when the gas flows into the airbag, and a diffuser pocket disposed in the airbag and coupled to the inflator to distribute the gas to front and rear sides of the airbag. The diffuser pocket includes a first surface, a second surface, a first concave portion formed at a rear end of the first surface, a second concave portion formed at a rear end of the second surface, a first main sewed portion formed by sewing lower ends of the first and second surfaces, a second main sewed portion formed by sewing the first and second concave portions, and a tear seam portion formed by sewing the first surface in proximity to the first concave portion and the second surface in proximity to the second concave portion.

Curtain airbag apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

Provided is a curtain airbag apparatus that prevents a head of an occupant from being moved forward. To this end, according to the curtain airbag apparatus according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an auxiliary airbag is installed on an outer surface of a curtain airbag in order to prevent the head of the occupant from being moved forward.

A diffuser pocket for an airbag according to the present invention includes: an insertion portion into which a tip portion of an inflator is inserted; and a gas discharging portion which guides and discharges high-pressure gas injected from the inflator to an airbag cushion, in which the insertion portion has front and rear insertion portions in which lower portions are folded and upper portions are sewn, and the gas discharging portion has front and rear gas discharging surfaces in which a left line is folded, and upper portions and left portions are sewed, thereby preventing damage due to high-temperature and high-pressure gas injected from the inflator.
