The invention provides a high module carbon fiber and a fabrication method thereof. The high module carbon fiber includes the product fabricated by the following steps: subjecting a pre-oxidized carbon fiber to a microwave assisted graphitization process, wherein the pre-oxidized carbon fiber is heated to a graphitization temperature of 1000-3000&#xb0; C. for 1-30 min. Further, the high module carbon fiber has a tensile strength of between 2.0-6.5 GPa and a module of between 200-650 GPa.

High modulus graphitized carbon fiber and method for fabricating the same

A precursor raw material for the PAN-based carbon fibers represented by Formula (I) is provided.  In Formula (I), R is methyl, ethyl or propyl, x+z=0.5-20.0 mol %, z&#x2267;0.5 mol %, y=99.5-80.0 mol % and x+y+z=100 mol %. The invention also provides a PAN-based oxidized fiber and a PAN-based carbon fiber prepared by the precursor raw material for the PAN-based carbon fibers.

The invention discloses a filtration material for desalination, including a support layer, and a desalination layer formed on the support layer, wherein the desalination layer is a fiber composite membrane and includes at least one water-swellable polymer. The water-swellable polymer is made of hydrophilic monomers and hydrophobic monomers, and the hydrophilic monomers include ionic monomers and non-ionic monomers, and the ionic monomers include cationic monomers and anionic monomers.

Filtration material

The invention relates to the structures of proton exchange membranes with different molecular permeabilities, especially to the proton exchange membranes suitable for the applications in Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) and with the function of recovering water from the cathode. The polymeric structures are the designs of phase separated structures of the crystalline phase and the amorphous phases, thereby limiting the swelling of the materials and the space of ionic cluster structures in nano-scale to reduce the permeability of methanol fuels On the other hand, by controlling of polymeric grafting reactions result in the reverse (from the cathode to the anode) permeability of the product water molecules on the cathode in the proton exchange materials greater than the permeability of methanol molecules in the fuels (from the anode to the cathode) due to the differences of fuel concentrations between the cathode and the anode of DMFC. Hence, it has the function of recovering water of the cathode and does not have the over-permeable phenomena as seen in methanol molecule.

A method for manufacturing a composite bicycle frame adapts stepped forming. The seat stays combined with the seat support means which are connected to parts of the top tube and seat tube, and the chain stays combined with the pedal support means which are connected to parts of the down tube and seat tube, are formed respectively. The seat stays connect to the chain stays by inserting a pair of rear wheel dropouts therebetween, to form substantially a pair of rear triangles of the bicycle frame. The seat tube and the steering support means connected to the top tube and down tube are laid up respectively. The cured rear triangles connect to uncured seat tube and steering support means associated with top tube and down tube, wherein the top tube, down tube, and seat tube form a front triangle. The front triangle is cured such that manufacturing of the whole bicycle frame is completed.
