A CPU control method and apparatus for improving application processing speed and power consumption are provided. An embodiment of the invention provides a method by which a CPU control apparatus controls a CPU, where the CPU control method includes: (a) measuring a reaction time of a user terminal for a running application; (b) computing a first predictive reaction time by stepwise changing a CPU frequency if the reaction time exceeds a preset threshold; (c) computing a second predictive reaction time by stepwise changing a processing weight of the application if the first predictive reaction time exceeds the preset threshold; and (d) repeating said step (c) if the second predictive reaction time exceeds the preset threshold.

A data forwarding method and system is provided for avoiding data loss during a vertical handover by forwarding data through an IP tunnel established between a newly introduced network entity called a Data Forwarding Function of the serving network and a Forward Attachment Function of a target network. A data forwarding method of a data forwarding unit located in a serving network for a vertical handover according to the present invention includes receiving an address of a forwarding attachment unit located in a target network and a data forwarding preparation request that are transmitted by a user equipment; establishing an Internet Protocol (IP) tunnel to the forwarding attachment unit according to the data forwarding preparation request; and forwarding, when a vertical handover is initiated, handover packets to the forwarding attachment unit through the IP tunnel.

Data forwarding method and system for vertical handover

Provided is a resource allocation method performed in a wireless network formed of a plurality of nodes, the resource allocation method including the operations of forming clusters and electing cluster heads respectively for the clusters; determining whether a node from among the plurality of nodes forming the wireless network is an edge node; if the node is not the edge node according to a result of the determining, collecting link information related to other nodes in a cluster that comprises the node, and delivering the link information to a cluster head of the cluster; and if the node is the edge node according to a result of the determining, otherwise, obtaining link information and scheduling information from an edge node of another cluster within a communication range with the cluster comprising the edge node, and delivering the link information and scheduling information to the cluster head. The resource allocation method decentralizes a load of calculations to several nodes, wherein the load may be centralized to one node in a large ad-hoc network, so that an energy efficiency of the node may be increased, and since the several nodes sequentially perform simple calculation, a total of the resource allocation time may be reduced.
