Disclosed are an electronic device for providing location information and a control method therefor. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present document may comprise: a communication module; a processor operably connected to the communication module; and a memory operably connected to the processor, wherein: the memory includes instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to receive, from a second electronic device, a first identification request for identification of the location of a first electronic device, transmit the received first identification request to the first electronic device, determine whether a first identification response corresponding to the transmitted first identification request is received from the first electronic device, and transmit first location information of the first electronic device, stored in the memory, to the second electronic device on the basis of the determination; and the first location information includes location information transmitted by the first electronic device according to a second identification request received from the second electronic device before a time point at which the first identification request is received.

An electronic device and method for the electronic device to process data are provided. The method includes retrieving information associated with at least one neighboring terminal, requesting, when the loss of data transmitted to a plurality of electronic devices is determined, transmission of the data of which a loss is determined, from the at least one neighboring terminal, based on the retrieved information associated with the at least one neighboring terminal and receiving the data of which the loss is determined, in response to the request.

A method for performing communication in a mobile communication terminal capable of TRS communication. In the method, the mobile communication terminal periodically searches for another TRS channel or a mobile communication paging channel even though the mobile communication terminal is in communication or is in TRS communication, and informs a user of reception of TRS paging signals having a TRS channel authentication code or call termination, thereby either performing another TRS communication or mobile communication through connection to a communication channel according to user's selection. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently manage a plurality of TRS channels or mobile communication channels, and receive and process only TRS signals including a specific TRS channel authentication code from among TRS signals of unspecified persons. Further, it is possible to curtail power consumption of the mobile communication terminal.
