There is provided a forged fingerprint identification method. The method comprises obtaining a first fingerprint image for a fingerprint for an input finger of a target user at a first position; obtaining a second fingerprint image for the fingerprint for the input finger of the target user at a second position; and determining whether the fingerprint of the target user is a forgery based on a result of comparison of a result of fingerprint comparison between the first fingerprint image and the second fingerprint image with predetermined threshold conditions.

There is provided a method for obtaining a user authentication image using pressure sensing. The method includes dividing a pressure sensing area corresponding to a fingerprint input window, with which a biometric feature of a user is brought into contact, into a plurality of partial areas, acquiring a plurality of image frames captured through the fingerprint input window and obtaining, for the partial areas, respective pressure sensing values synchronized with a capturing time of each of the image frames. There is provided a method for authenticating a fingerprint. The method includes receiving an inputted fingerprint image; selecting a plurality of comparison target pixels from pixels in the inputted fingerprint image and selecting a plurality of comparison reference pixels from pixels in a pre-stored registered fingerprint image; and determining a similarity of an overlapping area where the inputted fingerprint image overlaps the registered fingerprint image whenever a matching arrangement of each of the comparison target pixels is made with respect to each of the comparison reference pixels. A fingerprint authentication method includes a first step of acquiring partial fingerprint measurement data for a part of a fingerprint, and a second step of calculating a matching rate by comparing the partial fingerprint measurement data with reference comparison data selected among a plurality of partial fingerprint registration data, each partial fingerprint registration data corresponding to a part of a fingerprint. The method further includes a third step of determining whether the matching rate is equal to or greater than an authentication threshold and a fourth step of determining, based on a result in the third step, a success of the authentication, or repeating the second and third steps by selecting new reference comparison data based on whether or not the matching rate is equal to or greater than a preset threshold smaller than the authentication threshold.

In a fingerprint data registering method, a blurred pseudo image is displayed and, when a fingerprint image for authentication registration is acquired, a fingerprint position of the acquired fingerprint image is extracted. A position in the pseudo image, which corresponds to the extracted fingerprint position, is determined. A part of the blurred pseudo image at the determined corresponding position is converted to a clear partial pseudo-image having a higher resolution than that of the blurred pseudo image and the clear partial pseudo-image is displayed. The acquired fingerprint image is registered as an authentication-purpose fingerprint image in association with the converting and outputting process.
