An apparatus and method of generating a virtual shift effect in an electric vehicle are provided. The apparatus for generating a virtual shift effect in an electric vehicle includes: a driving information detector configured to detect driving information of the electric vehicle; a controller configured to determine a virtual shift point based on the detected driving information and output a control signal for generating the virtual shift effect at the determined virtual shift point; and a disconnector configured to disengage power transmission between sub-driving wheels and sub-wheel motor, wherein the disconnector is engaged or disengaged according to the control signal output, and generates an impact occurring upon the engagement or disengagement of the disconnector as the virtual shift effect.

An automatic APS map generating method is provided. The automatic APS map generating method includes measuring a state of charge (SOC) of a battery using a SOC sensor and calculating, a maximum torque of a motor based on the battery SOC and a creep torque based on a current vehicle state to set the creep torque as a minimum torque of the motor. An APS map is generated using an APS percentage table obtained and stored by converting torque values capable of being output by the motor into percentages based on a vehicle speed and an accelerator pedal position sensor (APS) percentage.

Automatic APS map generating method and system

A method and controller for controlling scheduled charging of an electric vehicle. A charging start time is scheduled in the electric vehicle. The electric vehicle is connected to a charger by means of a control line. A standby signal is transfers on the control line, and the charger enters into a charging standby mode. A charging control switch of the electric vehicle is then turned on (and subsequently off) for a first time at every first period so that the charger stays in the charging standby mode. At the scheduled charging start time, the charging control switch is turned on and left on so that the charger starts charging the electric vehicle.
