A tomography method for generating a computed tomography (CT) image, including generating a first tomography image based on first raw data corresponding to a received X-ray comprising acquired photons; determining second raw data by generating a second tomography image having an increased resolution in comparison with the first tomography image and performing forward projection on the second tomography image; determining third raw data based on a first parameter, the first raw data, and the second raw data; and generating a third tomography image based on the third raw data, wherein the determining of the third raw data may be based on information about a distribution of the acquired photons, the information being included in at least one from among the first raw data and the second raw data.

Tomography apparatus and method for reconstructing tomography image thereof

Provided are a tomography apparatus and a method for reconstructing a tomography image. The method includes obtaining a plurality of raw data corresponding to a plurality of views by performing a tomography scan on an object and deblurring each of the plurality of raw data based on a point spread function (PSF) that varies according to locations in a field of view (FOV) in a gantry. The method also includes reconstructing a final tomography image in which a motion of the object is corrected from the plurality of deblurred raw data based on a motion vector indicating the motion of the object.

The apparatus to compress a binary image includes a symbol extraction unit to extract symbols from a binary image, a symbol dictionary including a plurality of representative symbols registered therein and to register one or more of the extracted symbols when the one or more extracted symbols do not match the registered representative symbols, a symbol matching unit to perform a matching operation of the extracted symbols with the representative symbols using a plurality of thresholds to determine an index of the extracted symbols, and an encoding unit to compress symbols registered in the symbol dictionary and corresponding indexes, to compress indexes of the symbols extracted from the binary image and position information of each of the extracted symbols, and to generate a final bitstream from the compressed symbols, indexes, and position information.
