The present technology relates to an electrode slurry-discharging shim, and a coating die comprising same, the present technology allowing superbly even coating to be assured even when the electrode slurry coating is at a high load level. In one example, the present technology provides a coating shim for electrode slurry discharge according to the present invention having a step portion configured to be formed at an end of an electrode slurry discharge flow path and to increase a width of the discharge flow path, and the step portion is formed at opposite sides in a width direction of the electrode slurry discharge flow path.

Disclosed herein is a battery case configured to receive an electrode assembly and an electrolytic solution therein, the electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the battery case including a layer structure and a gas adsorption layer formed on the inner surface of the layer structure, the gas adsorption layer including a gas adsorption material layer configured to adsorb a reaction gas that may be generated within the battery case during abnormal functioning of the electrode assembly, and a blocking layer formed on an exposed surface of the gas adsorption material layer, the blocking layer configured to prevent the gas adsorption material layer from being exposed to an ambient gas during assembly of the battery case.

A method for activating a battery cell. The battery cell includes a positive electrode coated with a nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) positive electrode material, into which lithium nickel oxide (LNO) has been added or mixed. The method includes a step of charging the battery cell; and a step of discharging the battery cell, when, in the step of charging the battery cell, the battery cell is charged under a charging condition of C-rate of 0.1 C to 0.5 C in a state of being heated at a temperature of 45&#xb0; C. to 60&#xb0; C. When the activation process is performed according to the present invention having the above-described configuration, the pressing/heating conditions for suppressing generation of a gas may be provided to prevent swelling, battery deformation, and performance deterioration due to the generation of the gas from occurring.
