Disclosed are a cooking apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The cooking apparatus includes a plurality of light sources configured to emit light toward a cooking container and grouped into a plurality of groups and a light emission driving controller configured to perform control in a manner that flame images are displayed by performing group controlling on the basis of at least one of a control command input by a user, a grouping form of the plurality of groups and a preset operation pattern.

Cooking apparatus and method of controlling the same

A power supply circuit to detect whether or not abnormal current is generated in a power factor compensation circuit and forcibly stop an operation of an interleaved power factor compensation circuit controller if abnormal current is generated. The power supply circuit includes a rectifier, a power factor compensation circuit including a plurality of reactors, a plurality of switches and a plurality of current detectors, a power factor compensation circuit controller to control switching of the switches and to control a power factor compensation operation, and a power factor compensation circuit protection circuit to receive the voltages output from the plurality of current detectors and to stop the operation of the power factor compensation circuit controller if at least one of the voltages output from the plurality of current detectors is abnormal. Thus, it is possible to prevent failure of the switches and the current detectors due to abnormal current.

Interleaved power factor compensation circuit controller

A device correcting a power factor caused by an input current delay of a three-phase inverter and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. In case of a product having a high-current power environment and a high-capacity inverter, a three-phase power factor correction (PFC) device detects any erroneous PFC operation of the three-phase inverter using a current sensor located at a common potential terminal. So, if the input current delay occurs, the three-phase PFC device delays an ON time of a switching element from a zero-crossing point of the input voltage, and performs an optimum switching operation caused by the input-current delay, resulting in the implementation of an increased power factor.

Device for power factor correction in three phase power supply and control method thereof

A power factor correction (PFC) protection device used when an abnormal current of a three-phase inverter occurs and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. If any mis-connection (or non-connection) occurs due to a mistake of a producer at a power-supply input terminal applied to the reactor and the switching element, a current applied to the switching element becomes an abnormal current, such that the PFC cannot be controlled. During the PFC control, the device detects a current waveform generated from the switching element at a current sensor of the common potential terminal, and determines whether there is a mis-connection caused by the abnormal current. If the mis-connection is decided, the device compares a current pattern with a mis-connection pattern, and changes the PFC control output applied to the switching element according to the searched mis-connection pattern, such that the PFC control can be normally carried out.
