A display apparatus includes a display module and a front case. The display module displays images. The display module includes a boss fixing member having a combination hole. The front case covers a first surface of the display module and has a first boss that is inserted into the combination hole to combine the front case to the display module. The first boss is formed at inside edges of the display module. The boss fixing member is positioned within the edges of the display module which define the outdimension of the display module.

Display apparatus

In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a display assembly received in a cover by the front mounting method, a combining recess is formed on a corner formed at which a side part and an upper portion of a supporting part meet together, and a first hole is formed on a bottom of the combining recess. A first opening exposing the first hole is formed in a top surface part of a front receiving frame. A bottom part of a rear receiving frame supporting a rear face of a display module has a second hole corresponding to the first hole. An incision portion opening the sidewall part of the rear receiving frame exposes the second hole, the first reinforcement member is bent around an edge of the sidewall part, and connects the opposite edges. As such, the width of a frame of the cover is reduced, and the rear receiving frame improves the strength against external force.

Display assembly and display device having the same

A display device includes a display module, a first case and a boss insertion element having a combination hole. The first case covers a first surface of the display module and has a first boss which is inserted into the combination hole to combine the front case to the display module. The first boss is formed at inside edges of the display module.

Assembly structure of a display device

A printed circuit board assembly and a liquid crystal display ('LCD') having the same, and more particularly, to a printed circuit board assembly, wherein a board mounted with a heat dissipation plate and a time controller using a spring clip or a hook spring can prevent the board from sagging. An exemplary embodiment includes a heat dissipation plate, a protection plate and a thermal interface material to dissipate heat from a time controller, thereby efficiently dissipating heat from the time controller. Another exemplary embodiment includes a spring clip or a hook spring to increase contact forces among a protection plate, a heat dissipation plate and a board, thereby further improving heat dissipation performance. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention make it possible to provide a printed circuit board assembly, wherein a spring clip supports the bottom of a region of a board in which a time controller is mounted, thereby preventing sagging of the region of the board in which the time controller and a heat dissipation plate are mounted. An LCD having the printed circuit board assembly is also described.

Display apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

A method for illuminating a liquid crystal display device, a back-light assembly for performing the same and a liquid crystal display device using the same can improve the front luminance and production yield. Lights from a lamp is incident to a LCD panel side, which are then primarily diffused for a uniformity of the luminous flux of the incident lights. The luminous flux of the primarily diffused lights is condensed with respect to a first orientation component on a plane in parallel with the LCD panel, and then partially and secondarily diffused for extending a view angle of pixels of the LCD panel. After the luminous flux of the secondarily diffused lights is condensed with respect to a second orientation component perpendicular to the first orientation on the parallel plane, the condensed lights are illuminated onto the LCD panel. A diffusion sheet for secondarily diffusing the luminous flux and a condensing sheet for condensing the second orientation component are formed by a single sheet to reduce the manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device. Also, a defect produced from respective sheets is minimized to enhance the yield.

Method for illuminating liquid crystal display device, a back-light assembly for performing the same, and a liquid crystal display device using the same

A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, lamps, a diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing member. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and sidewalls together providing a receiving space. The lamps are arranged substantially parallel to each other on the bottom plate. The diffusion plate is disposed over the lamps. The lamp-fixing member includes a body portion extending substantially perpendicular to the lamps, a buffer protruding upwardly from the body portion, a diffusion plate supporting portion protruding from the buffer to support the diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing portion formed at the body portion to fix the lamps. Therefore, the buffer having elasticity is formed at an area at which the diffusion plate supporting portion is formed, so that rubbing between the diffusion plate and the diffusion plate supporting portion may be reduced.

Backlight assembly, liquid crystal display apparatus having the same and method of manufacturing lamp-fixing member

A lamp-supporting unit includes a mold frame and a lamp-fixing member. The mold frame includes a bottom face, a side face upwardly extending from an edge of the bottom face, and a top face horizontally extending from an upper end of the side face and being opposite to the bottom face. The side face has openings through which lamps are moved. The lamp-fixing member is installed on the bottom face of the mold frame and fixes an end of each of the lamps.

An air-cooling apparatus for a projection television is disclosed. The projection television includes a front casing forming an external appearance of a body of the projection television and having a screen installed therein. A rear casing is coupled to the front casing and has a reflection mirror installed therein. A base is integrally formed at a lower portion of the front casing and has an opening and defines a space below the opening. A blowing duct is installed above the opening in the base, and an image projector is installed above the blowing duct and has heat emitting elements including a beam source, dichroic mirrors, a liquid crystal panel and a projection lens therein. A distributing member is disposed within the space and cooperates with the blowing duct so as to distribute air blown by the blowing duct to the heat emitting elements. Thus, according to the present invention, the heat emitting elements disposed in the image projector of the projection television can be concentratedly air-cooled so that the heat emitting elements are prevented from being over-heated. Also, the internal structure of the projection television can be simplified.

Air-cooling apparatus for a projection television

An automatic door opening mechanism for ejecting a video cassette tape of a video cassette recorder (VCR) includes a door mounted at both sides on door brackets in front of a cassette deck opening for inserting/ejecting a cassette tape so as to be opened upwardly and an actuator lever fixed on one end of an actuator shaft rotatably mounted on main frame. The actuator lever has a door locking part formed on one end and a button pressing part formed on the other end. A further door locking part is fixed on the other end of the actuator shaft. A retention arm is fixed on the actuator shaft in the middle thereof. The retention arm has a stopper tiltably mounted on its top. The stopper is vertically positioned under the cassette deck opening so as to be engaged with front and rear lower edges of the cassette tape and to be tilted inwardly by being engaged with the rear lower edge of the cassette tape when inserting the same through the opening. The stopper is returned to its vertical position after complete insertion of the cassette tape.
