An image processing device is provided, which has an improved face detection method. The image processing device may include a background manager, which determines a foreground region having a target object and a background region which excludes the target object based on image data that includes pixel values of pixels included in the image and depth map data that includes disparity values of the image pixels; and a target object manager determines a reference position of the target object by counting foreground pixels included in the foreground region in a preset direction at a plurality of positions, and detecting the target object corresponding to a preset shape within a region of interest that is set based on the reference position.

Image processing device and face detection method

An image processing device comprises a data group generator, a gradient value manager, and a cost volume manager. The data group generator is configured to receive pixel values of an image that include phase and brightness information, and determine data groups indicating disparity of the image based on target pixel values, where the data groups correspond to a range that is determined according to the phase information. The gradient value manager is configured to determine gradient values of a region corresponding to the target pixel values and determine gradient information. The gradient information is determined by applying threshold values to the gradient values, where the threshold values are determined according to the target pixel values. The cost volume manager is configured to determine a cost volume by weighted summing the data groups based on the gradient information.

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for cancer treatment containing gossypol and phenformin as active ingredients. Specifically, the combinative treatment with gossypol and phenformin was verified to have a significantly higher anticancer activity than a single treatment with gossypol and phenformin alone. Therefore, the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention containing gossypol and phenformin having a synergetic anticancer activity can be favorably used for cancer treatment.

The present invention relates to an auto-focus system and method based on a sensor, using hierarchical extraction and motion estimation for an image.
