A display apparatus includes a plurality of light sources configured to emit light; a light guide plate having a first surface and a second surface, configured to spread light emitted from the plurality of light sources therein to emit light through the first surface; and a local dimming unit configured to reflect or scatter light emitted through the second surface of the light guide plate according to a location. The local dimming unit may include an electro-optical layer configured to change optical properties according to an electric field; a plurality of electrodes located on the same plane, configured to generate the electric field; and a controller configured to change a voltage applied to the plurality of electrodes according to an image.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a frame case to support four sides of a display panel. The frame case is formed by bending a bar-shaped member made of a metal into a rectangular ring shape. Opposite ends of the bar-shaped member facing each other are covered by a cover member, which prevents quality degradation of the appearance of the display.

The display apparatus includes a display panel, a display chassis configured to support the display panel, and a cover provided on a rear side of the display chassis. The cover includes a cover body configured to cover a rear surface of the display chassis, and a plurality of magnets disposed on the cover body and configured to generate an attractive force such that the cover body is attached to the rear surface of the display chassis.
