Provided is a system for predicting disease based on biosignal data and medical knowledge base convergence. The system includes a first system unit configured to receive, from a user terminal, biosignal data collected from at least one sensor for sensing a biosignal, and calculate a disease score from the biosignal data based on a pre-trained prediction model, a second system unit configured to provide medical knowledge data for the first system unit, analyze a query input from the user terminal to provide a corresponding response, and augment the medical knowledge data based on the query and response; and a unified distributed repository that includes a database for enqueuing the biosignal data, a manager database for storing additional information of a user, and a medical knowledge base for storing predetermined medical knowledge data.

Provided are an infrastructure apparatus and method of providing collaboration between thing devices. Since a plurality of thing devices located in a specific space share an experience where the plurality of thing devices have performed a collaboration service, each of the thing devices may search for peripheral thing devices for performing the collaboration service without intervention of a center server and may generate a collaboration group including the found thing devices, and tasks for performing through negotiation may be autonomously distributed to the thing devices included in the collaboration group, thereby providing autonomous collaboration between the thing devices.

Provided are a communication method and system for sensor network. In reporting event occurrence in a real-time sensor network application, a cycle time is divided into an event announcement period and a data transmission period to provide real-time transmission performance and energy efficiency. Each of the periods is again divided into the number of slots equal to the maximum depth of a network. Respective nodes sequentially operate according to their depths in a routing tree during the event announcement period to receive the signal transmitted from the lower node. To remove sleep delay, a slot next to the signal reception slot becomes a signal transmission slot. A node sensed an event transmits a signal informing event occurrence during its signal transmission slot, and this signal includes only the address of the transmission node. When a signal does not exist in the event announcement period, no traffic occurs in the data transmission period and the upper nodes maintain a sleep state. When a signal is transmitted during the event announcement period, nodes transmitting/receiving a corresponding signal operate during the data transmission period to transfer data packets.

Sensor network system and communication method thereof

Provided are an energy-efficient communication method in a group information-based sensor network and a sensor network system using the method. A group exchanges group information and data with another group in order to provide an application service through inter-group cooperation in a sensor network. In this process, a target group is discovered, a communication path is established, and inter-group communication cycle information for energy-efficient communication is transmitted. On the basis of the group information and the communication cycle information, it is possible to minimize the network resource consumption and provide an energy-efficient inter-group communication method.

An asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) host adapting apparatus comprising: a storage block for storing packet information, received cells, and parameters; an ATM network interface handling block for performing direct memory access of ATM cells and parameter stored therein, segmenting transmit packet information, reassembling received cells, transmitting and receiving the ATM cells to physical media cell received, and arbitrating in the direct memory access; and a secondary interface block for connecting the storage block to the ATM network interface handling block.

Asynchronous transfer mode host adapter apparatus with ability of shared media access

A direct memory read and cell transmission apparatus for an ATM cell segmentation system having a host CPU is disclosed. The segmentation circuit of the apparatus transfers the address and size for the start of the DMA by the byte unit. When a predetermined information is provided, and a DMA read is requested, the data is transferred through the bus of the word unit such as the PCI interface, and then necessary bytes are obtained for thereby forming a 32 bit word stream, so that the ATM cell of a 32 bit&times;12 word form and transfers to the lower circuit. Therefore, when the segmentation circuit processes the buffer, all data are computed by the byte unit, and in an application program, the data are not obtained for transmitting the data to the ATM cell, so that it is possible to enhance the processing capability.
