In one example, a seal comprises a plurality of radial features and a plurality of axial features extending from a cylindrical body, the cylindrical body comprises a first material and a second material, wherein the second material is stiffer than the first material.

Redundant seal with radial features

Methods and systems are provided for an engine component assembly having one or more fastener retention apparatuses. In one example, a system may include each of the one or more fastener retention apparatuses including a rigid limiter and an integrated fastener retention feature adhered to an inner surface of an interior passage of the rigid limiter. Further, one or more fasteners may be held captive by each of the one or more fastener retention apparatuses capturing one fastener of the one or more fasteners.

Limiter with integrated fastener retention for an engine assembly component

An apparatus is provided having two mating components. The mating components include an engine and an engine front cover. A fastening boss is formed on at least one of the two mating components and configured to receive a threaded fastener to join the two mating components. A compression boss extends from a first of the two mating components to contact a second of the two mating components. The compression boss is dimensioned relative to the fastening boss to create compressive loading in the compression boss when the threaded fastener is tightened to join the mating components.
