An electrical harness assembly is provided that comprises a flexible printed circuit electrically connected to one end of an electrical connector. The other end of the electrical connector is presented for connection to another electrical component. Electrical tracks or conductors in the flexible printed circuit terminate in receiving holes. The electrical connector comprises terminals, each of which has a first end that is received in one of the receiving holes to form a connection formation, and a second end which is present for connection to the other electrical device. The connection formation is encapsulated so as to be sealed, thereby providing a reliable and robust connection between the connector and the flexible printed circuit.

Electrical harness connector

An electrical harness is formed from a flexible printed circuit board which provides a plurality of conductive tracks. The harness has one or more harness connectors at respective terminating regions of the flexible printed circuit board for joining the harness to complementary connectors. The or each harness connector includes a back-shell and one or more elongate terminals which are supported at a position within the back-shell such that, in use, when the harness connector joins with a complementary connector, the elongate terminals are presented for electrical connect at first ends thereof with mating terminals of the complementary connector. The or each terminating region of the harness has one or more receiving holes extending to respective conductive tracks of the harness.

Electrical harness

A fluid flow control device has an annular fixed body with at least one aperture in an annular surface thereof. When in use, fluid is arranged to flow through the at least one aperture. A thermally responsive annular valve element is mounted concentrically with respect to the fixed body. The configuration of the annular valve element is changeable with temperature so as to control the flow of fluid through the at least one aperture.

An assembly comprises first and second components provided with holes receiving a retaining element in the form of a pin, in order to retain the components together. The pin is made from a shape memory effect material, and is inserted into the holes in a straight configuration, following which a change in temperature causes a retaining portion of the pin to deform into a second configuration, in which withdrawal of the pin is prevented.

Assembly

An intake duct for a compressor comprises an inlet and an outlet means. The duct has a serpentine path. The outlet means comprises a first outlet and a second outlet. The duct further comprises at least one grille member configured to prevent the passage of objects over a predetermined size which is positioned in the duct out of the line of sight when viewed through the inlet. The duct is shaped such that in operation objects passing through the at least one grille member greater than a predetermined mass are directed towards the first outlet and the remainder of the objects are directed towards the second outlet. The first outlet leads overboard and/or to a trap and the second outlet leads to a compressor.
