A dual function actuator for a flush valve. The actuator contains a sensor for controlling a motor, which in response to a stimulus will move a plunger which actuates the flush valve. The actuator is also configured to allow for manual actuation of the flush valve by tilting a distal portion of the actuator in relation to the remaining portion of the actuator and flush valve, which moves the plunger actuating the flush valve.

Manual or automatic actuation system

A filtering seal for a solenoid valve has an annular base member which defines an axial first retainer surface and a radial sealing surface. Legs extend from the base member. An annular screen support member is attached to the legs and has an axial second retainer surface. The first and second retainer surfaces are on outside diameters of the base member and screen support member. A cylindrical filter screen has one end mounted on the base member and the other end mounted on the screen support member, in engagement with the retainer surfaces. The base member may have bosses protruding from an end face to form a rotary seal suitable for engagement with a swivel connector. The radial sealing surface of the base member is located outwardly of the filter screen where the radial sealing surface can be compressed without affecting the filter screen.

Filtering seal for a fluid control valve

A flush valve includes a valve body having a valve for controlling flow between an inlet and outlet. A manual operator assembly includes a nut attached to the valve body. An adapter mounted in the nut has a plunger pin movable to initiate operation of the flush valve. A push member extends through an opening in the nut and has an end thereof in contact with the plunger pin. A sensor housing is attached to the nut and has a drive therewithin to cause movement of the push member against the plunger pin. A sensor connects a battery to the drive to initiate movement of the push member against the plunger pin.
