An integrated electric power take-off includes an electric motor that is driven by an electric motor of an electric vehicle, a hydraulic pump or a similar device that is adapted to operate a rotatably driven accessory provided on the electric vehicle, and a geartrain system connected between the electric motor and the hydraulic pump. The geartrain system is an integral portion of the integrated electric power take-off that permits an optimal selection of the electric motor and the hydraulic pump to be made for each specific application.

A power take off includes a housing, an input mechanism that is supported in the housing and is adapted to be rotatably driven by a source of rotational energy, and an output mechanism that is supported in the housing and is rotatably driven by the input mechanism, the output mechanism being adapted to rotatably drive a rotatably driven accessory. The power take off further includes a two piece damping assembly that minimizes the transmission of torque transients from the input mechanism to the output mechanism. The two piece damping assembly may be an input cluster gear assembly that includes a first gear portion and a second gear portion that are supported for rotational movement relative to one another. The two piece damping assembly may also be part of a clutch assembly for selectively the output mechanism to be rotatably driven by the input mechanism.

A displacement-actuated positive-drive clutch () includes an input member () having a positive engagement structure () provided thereon and an output member (). A clutch plate () is connected for rotation with and for axial movement relative to the output member (). The clutch plate () has a positive engagement structure () provided thereon that positively engages the positive engagement structure () provided on the input member () to engage the displacement-actuated positive-drive clutch automatically in response to the occurrence of a predetermined amount of relative rotational movement between the input member () and the output member ().
