In one embodiment, a system is provided with a welding wire feeder that includes a first wheel having a first rotational direction, and a second wheel having a second rotational direction opposite from the first rotational direction. The first and second wheels are disposed compressively about a wire feed region, and the first and second wheels are drivingly coupled together to output substantially equal tangential speeds in the wire feed region. In addition, the first wheel, or the second wheel, or both the first and second wheels comprise a drive wheel directly coupled to a gear without separately coupling both the drive wheel and the gear to a shaft.

Welding wire feed system and method

A positioning attachment for definition of torch angle and torch to workpiece distance during welding and/or training is provided. The positioning attachment includes one or more legs of equal or varied lengths capped with a tip, which contacts the workpiece, and a body, which may be permanently attached or removably secured to the welding torch nozzle. Certain embodiments may be made of heat resistant metals or ceramic to withstand high temperatures during welding. The positioning attachment may be mounted on the welding torch nozzle or provided as an extension of the contact tip.

A tray system is designed to be affixed in a stationary position to a housing of a welding-type system to support a gas cylinder for use with the welding-type system. The tray includes a base extending from the housing to form an interior and a periphery. As such, the interior forms a platform configured to support the gas cylinder proximate to the housing. The tray also includes a wall extending up from the base along at least a portion of the periphery of the base to form a barrier along the portion of the periphery that restricts the gas cylinder from being removed from the base. A lifting tab is included that extends up from the base proximate to the wall to form a pivot axis for the gas cylinder against which the gas cylinder may be tilted and rotated to raise the gas cylinder onto the wall and remove the gas cylinder from the tray without manual lifting.

Gas cylinder support system for a welding-type device

In one embodiment, a system is provided with a welding wire feeder that a first wheel having a first rotational direction, and a second wheel having a rotational direction opposite from the first rotational direction. In addition, the first wheel, or the second wheel, or first and second wheels comprise a drive wheel directly coupled to a gear separately coupling both the drive wheel and the gear to a shaft.

A cable management system for a welding-type system includes a support column extending in a first direction from a first end supported by a welding-type device to a second end arranged above the welding-type device. The cable management system also includes a cable support arranged on the second end of the support column that extends in a second direction substantially transverse to the first direction. Accordingly, a portion of the cable support extends away from the welding-type device to allow a cable supported thereon to extend below the cable support and proximate to the welding-type device.

Elevated welding-type cable support system

A drive roll for advancing a wire is provided. In certain embodiments, the drive roll includes a body having a wire feed portion, a mounting portion, and a central aperture through the body. In one embodiment, the feed portion includes an outer circumferential surface of the drive roll and a plurality of grooves for receiving and advancing various wires, while the mounting portion includes mounting features that are each uniquely associated with only one of the grooves. Various wire feed systems and welding systems are also provided.
