The present disclosure relates to user interfaces for manipulating user interface objects. A device, including a display and a rotatable input mechanism, is described in relation to manipulating user interface objects. Avatars may be displayed in a multiuser communication session using various spatial modes. One technique for presenting avatars includes presenting avatars such that an attention direction of the avatar is retargeted to match the intent of the remote user corresponding to the avatar. Another technique for presenting avatars includes a pinned mode in which a spatial relationship between one or more avatars remains displayed in a consistent spatial relationship to a local user regardless of movements of the local user. Another technique for presenting avatars includes providing user-selectable presentation modes between a room scale mode and a stationary mode for presenting a representation of a multiuser communication session.

Methods for counter-scaling windows and rearranging objects within those counter-scaled windows in a 3D computer-generated environment is disclosed. The windows can be counter-scaled in accordance with changes to their depth within the 3D computer-generated environment. Objects within the window can be presented at their actual size and with their correct scale relative to each other and with respect to the 3D computer-generated environment, and can maintain their actual size and scale relative to each other and the environment regardless of the depth of the window in the environment. Some embodiments of the disclosure rearrange the layout of the objects to present more or fewer objects in the window as the size of the window changes due to counter-scaling. Depth-dependent window resizing and object rearrangement while preserving actual object size and scale within the 3D computer-generated environment can provide a more authentic viewing experience and can encourage increased user interaction.

An electronic device displays a control user interface that includes a plurality of control affordances. The device detects a first input directed to a location that corresponds to a first control affordance, of the plurality of control affordances. In response to detecting the first input, if the first input meets control toggle criteria, the device toggles a function of a control that corresponds to the first control affordance. And if the first input meets enhanced control criteria, the device displays modification options for the control that correspond to the first control affordance. While displaying the modification options, the device detects a second input that activates a modification option of the modification options and, accordingly, modifies the control that corresponds to the first control affordance.
