The systems and methods are provided for the dynamic processing of API requests received by an API execution service. The API execution service may map out a dependency graph based on dependency relationships between all the actions involved in processing the API requests, some of which can be determined from the API definitions and configurations. From the dependency graph, an execution plan can be generated that represents a request processing pipeline conveying the optimal order and arrangement to perform the actions (e.g., serially, in parallel). The execution plan can be followed to process API requests and its performance monitored. The API execution service may dynamically modify this execution plan used to process API requests as it becomes apparent that the execution plan is no longer optimal.

Dynamic processing of API requests

At a managed control plane service, end-user application programming interfaces (APIs) of an application to be implemented at a provider network are determined. A set of common operational requirements of the application, to be fulfilled without obtaining program code for the requirements, are identified. In response to an invocation of an end-user API of the application, computations are performed at a resource selected by the managed control plane service, and one or more tasks to satisfy a common operational requirement are initiated by the managed control plane service.

A technology is described for monitoring interaction events at services and determining service management actions associated with the services. An example method may include receiving metadata describing interaction events at services executing in a computing service environment and using the metadata to generate a routing map that provides routing details for the interaction events at the services. The routing map may be analyzed to identify interaction characteristics associated with the interaction events at the services and the analysis of the routing map may be used in determining a service management action associated with the services based in part on the interaction characteristics associated with the interaction events.

Service group interaction management

Systems and methods are described for implementing execution guarantees in an on-demand code execution system or other distributed code execution environment, such that the on-demand code execution system attempts to execute code only a desired number of times. The on-demand code execution system can utilize execution identifiers to distinguish between new and duplicative requests, and can decline to allocate computing resources for duplicative requests. The on-demand code execution system can further detect errors during execution, and rollback the execution to undo the execution's effects. The on-demand code execution system can then restart execution until the code has been execute the desired number of times.

A system for integrating an endpoint management system and a virtual compute system is provided. The system may be configured to receive a first request to execute a proxy application programming interface (API) associated with a first resource of a plurality of resources maintained by the endpoint management system, determine, based at least in part on the first request and the proxy API, an API mapping definition associated with the proxy API, output a second request to execute a program code on the virtual compute system based on the API mapping definition associated with the proxy API, wherein the second request contains information associated with the first resource, receive a first response from the virtual compute system, wherein the first response contains information regarding the first resource, and output a second response based on the first response received from the virtual compute system.

In an actor system, messages communicated to and from a first actor in a first location of an actor system can be monitored. A message frequency between the first actor and a second actor in a second location of the actor system can be determined. The message frequency can be compared to a threshold message frequency. A determination can be made whether to move the first actor from the first location based on comparison of the message frequency to the threshold message frequency.

An endpoint management and proxy system is described, by which users can manage and enable exposure of application programming interfaces ('APIs') usable to cause execution of program code on a remote or third party system. Systems and methods are disclosed which facilitate the handling of user requests to perform certain tasks on remote systems. The endpoint management system allows the application developer to define and specify a first proxy API which maps to a second API associated with the remote system. The endpoint proxy system receives requests to execute the proxy API, determines the API mapping, and sends one or more backend API requests to execute program codes by the associated remote systems. Responses from the remote systems are received by the endpoint proxy system which parses and/or transforms the results associated with the response and generates an output result for response back to the user computing systems.

Content, such as a video game, may be delivered by a content provider to a destination using, for example, streaming content delivery techniques. The transmission of the content may be monitored in order to determine transmission conditions such as a quality of the network connection from the content provider to the destination. The determined transmission conditions may then be used to determine adjustments to a complexity of various scenes associated with the content. For example, in some cases, when transmission conditions are unfavorable, scenes may be adjusted by reducing a complexity of the scenes.

A technology is described for monitoring interaction events and scaling services based in part on an impact of the interaction events. An example method may include receiving metadata describing interaction events taking place at services included in a group of services executing in a computing service environment. The metadata may be analyzed to identify a first interaction load for a first service included in the group of services that may result in impacting a second interaction load for a second service included in the group of services. The second service may be notified of the impending impact on the second interaction load resulting from the first interaction load, and the second service may scale the number of second service instances for the second service in anticipation of the impending impact on the second interaction load.

System interaction monitoring and component scaling

Techniques for content deployment, scaling and telemetry are described herein. Once a content item is made accessible for deployment, one or more instances of the content item may be installed as an image on a virtual machine instance. Additional instances of the content item may then be launched on the same virtual machine instance and/or by copying the image onto any number of additional virtual machine instances. One or more instances of a content item may be configurable to execute with multiple simultaneously assigned users sessions. Information associated with content item instances may be collected, such as a number of occupied user sessions, a number of unoccupied user sessions, content item instance duration, memory usage, and the like. This information may, in some cases, be used to match and assign authorized users to appropriate content item instances.

Content deployment, scaling, and telemetry

When a scene is generated, a content item may identify graphics object service requests associated with the scene. Each scene may have any number of associated graphics object service requests that may be sent to any number of different graphics object services. The graphics object services may be accessible over a network such as the Internet. By requesting object data from graphics object services, a content item may, for example, reduce at least part of the computational burden on a graphics processing unit of a client device.

A technology is provided for message rate management for a service in computing service environment. An allowable rate of service message requests to be received at a first service that are received from a one or more services in a group of services executing in a computing service environment may be defined. A current rate of service message requests received by the first service from the one or more services in the group of services may be monitored. The current rate of service message requests may be compared to the allowable rate of API service message requests. A message may be sent to the one or more services from the group of services, according to the comparison, to adjust service message requests sent to the first service from the one or more services.
