The present invention relates generally to peroxyformic acid forming compositions, methods for forming peroxyformic acid, preferably in situ, using the peroxyformic acid forming compositions. The present invention also relates to the peroxyformic acid formed by the above compositions and methods. The present invention further relates to the uses of the peroxyformic acid, preferably in situ, for treating a surface or a target. The present invention further relates to methods for treating a biofilm using peroxyformic acid, including peroxyformic acid generated in situ.

Bleach catalyst detergent compositions are provided. The compositions are suitable for use with additional detergent and/or bleaching compositions while providing bleach catalysts within a detergent composition. The detergent compositions are free of anionic surfactant, are highly aqueous and have a pH of less than 6. Methods of use for cleaning are disclosed.

Nonionic surfactant-based liquid detergent compositions containing a manganese bleach catalyst

A composition and method are used to treat articles suspected of contamination with bacterial spores. The composition and method are effective against bacterial spores selected fromandThe article can be a textile or a hard surface. The method includes preparing a first use solution by mixing ether amine in water and a second use solution by mixing percarboxylic acid in water; applying the first use solution to the article; and applying the second use solution to the article. An alternative method includes preparing a mixture of ether amine, percarboxylic acid, and water, and applying the mixture to the article.

Ether amines for enhanced sporicidal performance

Applicants have developed a physically and chemically stable solid composition containing a soil release polymer and an acidulant. The sour step thus accomplishes both stain removal and residual alkalinity removal. A novel method of using a soil release polymer and an acidulant together in the same post wash step of a laundry wash process is also disclosed. The solid composition is physically stable, even during aqueous dispensing, i.e. non-slumping and non-weeping. The solid could be formed through a melt, cast, or pressed process.
