A swirler is provided for a turbine engine. The swirler includes a swirler housing and a swirler nozzle that is attached to the housing. The housing defines a first inlet and a second inlet. The housing and the nozzle form an inner passage and an outer passage. The inner passage is radially within the nozzle and coupled with the first inlet. The outer passage is radially between the housing and the nozzle and coupled with the second inlet.

The disclosure is directed to a swirler body for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the swirler body includes an annular mount face which defines at least one pocket. The disclosure is directed to a swirler assembly for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the swirler assembly includes a swirler first body with an annular first mount face which defines at least one first pocket and a swirler second body with an annular second mount face which abuts said annular first mount face, where said second annular mount face defines at least one second pocket. The disclosure is directed to a method of lightening a swirler assembly for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the method includes defining at least one pocket within an annular mount face of a swirler body.

A turbine engine includes a compressor section, a combustor in fluid communication with the compressor section, and a turbine section in fluid communication with the combustor section. The combustor includes a combustor region defined by at least one bulkhead panel and at least one heat shielding panel inside the combustor region. The at least one heat shielding panel is connected to the bulkhead panel via at least one cooled fastener.

A swirler comprising an anti-rotation feature is provided. The swirler may be installed on a combustor within a gas turbine engine. The swirler may comprise a generally cylindrical profile. In this regard, the swirler may be configured to provide a generally uniform profile within the combustor. The swirler may comprise a floating collar with an anti-rotation feature. The swirler may also include a collar end plate that defines a slot that at least partially encloses the anti-rotation feature and minimizes rotational movement of the floating collar.

A combustor includes a shell that bounds at least a portion of a combustion chamber. The shell includes a wall that has an orifice that opens to the combustion chamber. A grommet includes a body portion and a lip that projects from the body portion. The body portion and the lip carry a surface that extends around a passage through the grommet. At least a portion of the lip extends within the orifice of the wall of the shell.

A combustor liner grommet is disclosed. The grommet may include a peripheral wall defining a hole in a combustor liner and further including at least one cooling air flow channel. The cooling air flow channel in the grommet wall may be a slot or a hole. The channel may increase cooling flow to the grommet and the combustor liner around the grommet to prevent cracking from heat stress.

A cooled combustor seal having a plurality of channels enabling cooling air to pass from outside of a combustion chamber to cool an area inside the combustion chamber around the seal is disclosed. The channels may be provided through a slider, a housing, and/or a washer of the combustor seal. One set of channels or multiple of sets of channels may be provided in the combustor seal. Each of these sets of channels may be in the slider, housing, or washer. The cooled combustor seal may be used in conjunction with an igniter to purge a cavity between the seal and the igniter.
