Methods and systems for angiographic imaging with optical coherence tomography (OCT) are described using ratio-based and angiographic deviation based calculations. In using these calculations to determine motion, arbitrary interframe permutations may be used, post- calculated, non-linear results for projection visualization may be averaged, poor matches may be eliminated on an A-line by A-line basis, windowing functions may be used to improve results, partial spectrums may be used when capturing data, and a minimum intensity threshold may be used for determining which pixels to use.

OCT angiography calculation with optimized signal processing

An ophthalmologic information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a tissue specifying unit, and a specifying unit. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire a tomographic image of a subject's eye. The tissue specifying unit is configured to acquire first shape data representing shape of a tissue of the subject's eye by performing segmentation processing on each of a plurality of tomographic images acquired by the acquisition unit. The specifying unit is configured to obtain second shape data representing shape of the tissue based on the plurality of first shape data acquired by the tissue specifying unit.

Ophthalmologic information processing apparatus, ophthalmologic apparatus and ophthalmologic information processing method

An ophthalmologic apparatus of embodiments includes an OCT unit, an acquisition unit, and a specifying unit. The OCT unit is configured to acquire a tomographic image of a subject's eye using optical coherence tomography. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire a front image of the subject's eye. The specifying unit is configured to specify shape of a tissue of the subject's eye based on the tomographic image acquired by the OCT unit and the front image acquired by the acquisition unit.

Ophthalmologic apparatus and method of controlling the same

An ophthalmologic information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a tissue specifying unit, and a specifying unit. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire a tomographic image of a subject's eye formed based on scan data acquired using an optical system for performing optical coherence tomography on the subject's eye. The tissue specifying unit is configured to acquire first shape data representing shape of a tissue of the subject's eye by performing segmentation processing on the tomographic image. The specifying unit is configured to specify a low sensitivity component having a small variation with respect to a change in a position of the optical system with respect to the subject's eye from the first shape data, and to obtain second shape data representing shape of the tissue based on the specified low sensitivity component.

A multimodal imaging system and method is capable of taking fundus images, automatically identifying regions of interest (ROIs) of the eye from the fundus images, and performing OCT imaging in the identified ROIs, where the OCT images can provide clinically relevant information for screening purposes. By automatically identifying the ROIs, expert intervention is not required to perform specialized OCT imaging and thus, such imaging and analysis can be provided at more facilities and for more subjects for a lower cost.

Automatically identifying regions of interest of an object from horizontal images using a machine learning guided imaging system

An optical coherence tomography (OCT) system electrically mixes a signature signal with an OCT signal (e.g., an interferogram) output by a photodetector of the OCT system. The signature signal may be a signal output by a photodetector that detects an optical signal from a fiber Bragg grating. The signature signal may then be time delayed before combination with the OCT signal. A series of interferograms are then aligned according to the signature signal. A rescaling signal may be similarly electrically mixed with the signature and OCT signals.

Methods and apparatus for phase stabilized swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) including rescaling and dynamic range enhancement

An ophthalmologic apparatus according to the embodiments includes an OCT optical system, an alignment unit, an image forming unit, a first calculator, and a second calculator. The OCT optical system is configured to acquire OCT data of a fundus of a subject's eye by projecting measurement light onto the fundus. The alignment unit is configured to perform alignment of the OCT optical system with reference to a predetermined site of the subject's eye. The image forming unit is configured to form a tomographic image of the fundus based on the OCT data acquired by the OCT optical system which has been aligned by the alignment unit. The first calculator is configured to calculate a first tilt angle of the tomographic image. The second calculator is configured to calculate a second tilt angle of the fundus by correcting the first tilt angle based on alignment result of the OCT optical system with respect to the predetermined site by the alignment unit.

A reference signal having a known induced optical delay is used for phase stabilization of optical coherence tomography (OCT) interferograms, and for correcting sampling differences within OCT interferograms, in single mode and multimodal OCT systems. The reference signal can then be used to the measure time shift or sample clock period shifts induced in the interferogram signal by the OCT system. A corresponding OCT interferogram signal can then be corrected to remove the shift induced by the system based on the determination.
