A valve drive for an internal combustion engine, including a gas exchange valve; a first mechanically driven drive mechanism; and a second drive mechanism connected to the gas exchange valve to move same. The first and second drive mechanisms connected via a hydraulic coupling device that has a pressure chamber, which can be relieved of pressure via a valve device and is designed to couple the drive mechanisms by hydraulic pressure and to decouple same in a pressure-relieved state. The valve device has two switch valves fluidically connected to the pressure chamber in parallel and via which the pressure chamber is relieved of pressure in the open state of at least one of the switch valves. The valve drive has a controller that actuates the switch valves in a delayed manner to provide a variable valve stroke of the gas exchange valve during a stroke movement.

A valve train for the variable actuation of an inlet valve and an outlet valve of a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a first operative connection between a valve actuating device and the inlet valve and a second operative connection between the valve actuating device and the outlet valve. The first operative connection and the second operative connection are assigned an interrupting element which is set up to temporarily interrupt the operative connections. The first operative connection and the second operative connection are connected to the same interrupting element in such a way that the first operative connection and the second operative connection can be interrupted temporarily by way of the interrupting element.

A drive train connection has a shaft, a joint, particularly a constant velocity joint, and a coupling device. The coupling device is a planetary gear mechanism having a hollow wheel, at least one planet wheel and a sun wheel. The shaft and the sun wheel have corresponding locking means oriented in the axial direction. The sun wheel, together with the joint, can be screwed onto the shaft or unscrewed from the shaft by turning the hollow wheel.
