A communication device includes an evaluator configured to evaluate one or more criteria, wherein a first criterion of the one or more criteria includes detecting an object, a determiner configured to determine one or more beam pairs from a plurality of potential beam pairs to use in communications with a second device based on the evaluation of the one or more criteria and transmit an indication of one or more partner-side beams of a selected beam pair of the one or more beam pairs to the second device, and a beam controller configured to adjust an antenna to communicate with the second device via a device-side beam of the selected beam pair.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of communicating an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (EDMG) Physical Layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU). For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a wireless station to transmit a first portion of an EDMG PPDU in a duplicate mode including transmission of a plurality of duplicates of the first portion of the PPDU over a respective plurality of 2.16 Gigahertz (GHz) channels in a directional frequency band, the first portion of the EDMG PPDU including at least one header field of the EDMG PPDU; and to transmit a second portion of the EDMG PPDU over a signal bandwidth of a channel including the plurality of 2.16 GHz channels, the second portion of the EDMG PPDU including at least a Training (TRN) field of the EDMG PPDU.

Apparatus, system and method of communicating an enhanced directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU)

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) beam refinement protocol (BRP) transmit sector sweep (TXSS). A device may establish a first communication link using a first antenna transmit chain of one or more transmit chains of the initiator, wherein the one or more antenna transmit chains further comprise a second antenna transmit chain. The device may initiate a MIMO BRP TXSS over the one or more antenna transmit chains. The device may map a single space-time stream over the one or more antenna transmit chains. The device may cause to send, to a responder device, an enhanced directional multi-gigabit (EDMG) frame using spatial expansion based on the mapping of the single space-time stream. The device may identify a feedback frame from the responder device. The device may determine one or more antenna weight vectors (AWVs) to use in a MIMO phase of the MIMO beamforming training based on the feedback frame.
