The present invention relates to an improved outsole and method for making the same. In many embodiments, the improved outsole includes an integrally connected rigid material within a toe cap. In many embodiments a mold is provided which aids in the production of the improved outsole by pressing a first and second raw material around the rigid material to form the outsole. The improved outsole provides increased flexibility, comfort, and durability to a shoe which uses the outsole, and greatly improves the protection to the wearer of said shoe.

Disclosed are a vamp construction and a method of vamp construction utilizing multiple layers in a multi-part vamp. This construction provides increased flexibility and comfort, more efficient material utilization, and aesthetic appeal. More specifically, the vamp includes a layer of vamp material, a layer of fabric, and a layer of elastic material.

Upper for a shoe

The invention relates to a method for providing a shoe having the steps of providing an upper, a sole, and a stitching; washing the upper for achieving a weathered appearance of the upper without subjecting the stitching and sole to the washing; and softening the sole. The method also comprises stitching the sole and the upper together with the stitching; working the sole to weather an appearance of the sole; drying the upper and sole together for disfiguring the upper and sole and for achieving a generally uniform weathered appearance; cyclically working the sole to match the appearance of the upper; and cyclically working the upper to match the appearance of the sole. The invention also includes the shoe.

Method for providing a weathered shoe and the weathered shoe

The invention relates to a shoe having an outsole, an upper having a notch, a brace having at least one localized area placed in the notch, and the brace being in contact with and secured to both the upper and the outsole. The invention also relates to a method for providing the shoe.

The invention relates to a multilayered sole having an insole extending from a toe area to a heel area and having a rigid member and a flexible member for enhancing flexibility. The multilayered sole also includes a midsole extending from the toe area to the heel area and having a cushioning material and a structural material for enhancing comfort. The invention relates to a sole that includes a bottom surface, a top surface, and a shaft extending upwardly from the top surface. The shaft further includes an upper surface and an elongated hole extending from the upper surface to the bottom surface through the sole and shaft.

The invention includes a method and apparatus for providing a shoe having an outsole with a top surface and a bottom surface, an anchoring mechanism placed between the top surface and the bottom surface, an upper connected to the outsole, and a fastener extending from the upper to the anchoring mechanism for securing the upper to the outsole.

The invention relates to a shoe having an insole being of a rigid material for providing structural integrity to be secured to an outsole, an upper secured to the insole, and a hole in the insole for enhancing flexibility of the insole. The insole is then secured to both the outsole and the upper. The invention also relates to a method for providing the shoe.
