A vehicle interior trim securing system includes a trim piece that includes a trim piece body. The trim piece includes a wire harness support that extends outward from the trim piece body that includes a support portion including an inner portion, an outer portion and a connecting portion that connects the inner portion and the outer portion forming a channel that is sized to receive a wire harness. A sealing structure includes a suction cup that is connected to the outer portion and a pull tab connected to the suction cup. The pull tab is partially covered by the trim piece body with the suction cup adhered to a floor underbody panel and has a length such that a free end extends laterally beyond the trim piece body.

Vehicle interior trim securing systems and associated methods

Anchor brackets/tethers may be used to reinforce a vehicle's resin rear door without substantially increasing the mass of the resin rear door. Such anchor brackets hold an interior trim panel(s) in place, and keep the interior trim panel(s) connected to the door structure or portion(s) thereof. The interior trim panel(s) can act as a protective interior shield that eliminates any exposure of the interior cabin/passenger compartment from any outer (and/or interior) door panel cracks/gaps that may be created during an adverse event. Moreover, conventional interior trim panels may, during a collision, break apart, the broken pieces becoming potentially dangerous projectiles. By being attached to the door structure and/or door componentry, the chance that the interior trim panel (or portions thereof) becoming a projectile is negated or at least lessened.

A vehicle floor silencer includes a base portion and a flange formed along an edge of the base portion. The flange includes a step, a wall extending from the step, and at least one wall support element extending from the wall to the step and structured to prevent at least an associated portion of the wall from deflecting in a direction toward an end of the step. The wall support is structured to prevent deflection of the wall along an edge of the floor silencer.

A vehicle floor carpet securing system includes a trim piece that includes a lateral portion connected to a vertical portion at a corner. A standoff rib anchors to a silencer layer of a vehicle carpet at an end. The standoff rib has an opposite end that engages the trim piece at the lateral portion, vertical portion and/or the corner to inhibit movement of the carpet relative to the trim piece.

Systems and apparatus for a bezel assembly for a heads-up display (HUD) unit located in an instrument panel of a vehicle, the instrument panel being adjacent to a front windshield of the vehicle. The bezel assembly includes a bezel having a rear edge aligned with a front edge of the instrument panel and an interior border defining a bezel opening. The bezel assembly also includes a chute located beneath the bezel and above the HUD unit. The chute includes an exterior border defining a top chute opening aligned with the bezel opening, and an interior border defining a bottom chute opening aligned with a display screen of the HUD unit and having a shape corresponding to the display screen of the HUD unit.

Methods, systems, devices and apparatuses for a heads up display (HUD) unit assembly. The HUD unit assembly includes a HUD guard device. The HUD guard device has a first elongated member. The first elongated member is position on one or more surfaces of the HUD unit and along an edge of the HUD unit and is configured to protect the one or more surfaces of the HUD unit and the edge of the HUD unit during installation of an instrument panel. The HUD guard device has a first leg member and a second leg member. The first leg member and the second leg member each have a first end and a second end. The first ends are coupled to the first elongated member and the second ends are configured to couple and interface with the HUD unit to support the first elongated member.

A first securement element mounting hole is formed in the door at a location in the door structured to reside adjacent an outboard edge and a rearmost edge of the door when the door is in an open condition.

A console assembly for an automotive vehicle and use with a mobile device. The console assembly including a storage compartment having a floor, a pair of sidewalls, and a pair of end walls. An opening permits access into the storage area and a slidable top wall is operable to move between a covered position and a retracted position relative to the opening. An anti-slip surface is provided on the top wall and configured to receive the mobile device thereon. A wireless charging unit is also incorporated into and moveable with the top wall. The wireless charging unit is located immediately below the anti-slip surface. When the mobile device is placed on the anti-slip surface, the device is moveable with the top wall, between the covered position and retracted position, while being charged.

A panel-ECU bracket attachment system that prevents the placement of an ECU at an incorrect location within a motor vehicle. The panel-ECU bracket attachment system includes a panel, e.g. an instrument panel, with a first ECU bracket attachment site and a second ECU bracket attachment site. The first ECU bracket attachment site has a first pair of alignment pins spaced apart by a first distance therebetween and the second ECU bracket attachment site has a second pair of alignment pins spaced apart by a second distance therebetween. The second distance is not equal to the first distance. The instrument panel-ECU bracket attachment system also includes a first ECU bracket with a first pair of pin apertures that are spaced apart from each other by the first distance and a second ECU bracket with a second pair of pin apertures that are spaced apart from each other by the second distance.

An instrument panel assembly and method for assembling an instrument panel assembly are provided. The instrument panel assembly and method of assembling is configured so as to center a front face of an electrical component within a second opening of a cover. The method and instrument panel assembly utilize a deformable rib configured to set the angular position of the front face of the electrical component by adjusting an alignment hole of a bracket to fit the widened rib. Thus, the instrument panel may be manufactured in a repeatable manner so as to allow for the mass production of instrument panel assemblies wherein the front face of the electrical component is centered with respect to the second opening of the cover.

An assembly for a console of a vehicle including a main body, a first hook connected to the main body wherein the hook is positioned adjacent and spaced apart from a second hook. A duct member having an aperture connects to the first hook and the second hook. During installation of the duct portion the aperture is first angled and positioned over a first hook then rotated downwards over the second hook wherein the second hook includes a ramped portion. The duct portion is snapped into place and is secured tightly over both the first hook and the second hook. During installation and rotation of the duct portion over the first hook and the second hook, the first hook and the second hook resiliently bend towards each other in compression and are relaxed once the aperture is fully over the first hook and the second hook.

The apparatus and method of the present disclosure enable a center console assembly of a vehicle to accommodate multiple transmission types with a single design, and further enable installation of the center console assembly without the need of a specially designed handle device separate from the center console assembly. The center console assembly includes a first side portion and a second side portion extending from a main body. A bridge member is pivotally coupled to the first side portion and the second side portion. The bridge member may be pivoted between a first position and a second position to accommodate a first transmission type or a second transmission type.

A push-push heart cam lock assembly for use in connection with a slidable tray within a vehicle. The push-push heart cam includes a breakaway feature to prevent breakage of the pin if a user pulls the assembly rather than pushes the assembly when attempting to close the assembly. The assembly includes a base, a track formed in the base, and a pin slidable within the track which is formed on the base. The assembly further includes a heart shaped cam having a fixed piece and a movable piece wherein the fixed piece and the movable piece of the heart shaped cam are mounted within the track of the base. In the event that the user pulls the slidable mechanism, the pin moves between the fixed piece and the movable piece of the heart shaped cam.
