A method includes receiving, via a processor, a unit configuration for a fluid mixing and dispensing system, where the unit configuration includes one or more fluid hardware components. The method also includes determining one or more software modules corresponding to the one or more fluid hardware components and configuring a modular plural component platform by loading the one or more software modules corresponding to the one or more fluid hardware components.

Provided are techniques for automatically detecting and configuring a variety of spray system components. The techniques include a controller configured to detect one or more spray system components. The controller is also configured to initialize software drivers corresponding to the spray system components upon connection of the spray system components to the controller. The techniques may provide one or more hardware on top (HAT) boards configured to couple to the controller and the spray system components.

Systems and methods for detection and configuration of spray system components

A system includes a production process information system configured to be installed within a service shop, an air supply flow meter configured to detect air flow to a first manual sprayer and send the detected air flow to the production process information system, and a coating material flow meter configured to detect fluid flow to the first manual sprayer and send the detected fluid flow to the production process information system. The production process information system is configured to determine sprayer usage parameters based on the air flow and the fluid flow.
