A device to augment air mass flow so an exit airflow will have a higher exit velocity than an inlet airflow has an inner structure having a first open end and a second open end. The inner structure is hollow. The inner structure tapers down from both the first open end and the second open end to a neck area. At least one opening is formed in the neck area. An outer structure has a first open end and a second open end. The outer structure is hollow. A diameter of the first open end of the outer structure and the second open end of the outer structure are approximately equal and allow the inner structure to slide within the outer structure. At least one outer structure opening is formed in a central area of the outer structure.

Device and method for augmenting air mass flow

A method of forming an electrode in an electrochemical battery comprises: coating a reticulated substrate with a conductive material; curing the reticulated substrate coated with the conductive material; and electroplating the reticulated substrate coated with the conductive material with a desired metal material.

Reticulated electrode structure and method of making the same

An improved catalytic converter includes a Coanda chamber assembly connected upstream of a catalytic reaction chamber, where the exhaust pipe is to be connected to the Coanda chamber assembly. The Coanda chamber assembly forms a Coanda chamber that has at least one narrower section and at least one wider section immediately downstream of the narrower section, with openings formed at the narrowest point of a narrower section. In operation, when engine exhaust gas is fed into the Coanda chamber, the gas pressure increases at the narrower section, and drops when the gas enters the wider section. As a result, air is sucked into the Coanda chamber via the openings and mixes with the exhaust gas. This lowers the exhaust temperature and enhances the efficiency of the catalytic reactions in the catalytic reaction chamber.

Aerodynamic catalytic converter

A helmet having a dual mode headphone has a helmet. A band is attached to an interior of the helmet. A pair of first housings is provided wherein one of the first housings is formed on each end of the band. A dual mode headphone circuit is provided having a dual-output acoustic transducer module positioned in each of the pair of first housings, the dual-output acoustic transducer module allowing for both air conduction and bone conduction of sound waves. The band is adjustable to position the pair of first housings on the user when the helmet is worn by the user based on a mode of operation of the dual mode headphone circuit.

Helmet having dual mode headphone and method therefor

A method for fabricating a reticulated lead electrode for a lead-acid battery, including: preparing a molten metal in a container; applying a DC voltage to the molten metal and the substrate; while the DC voltage is applied, placing a reticulated ceramic substrate in the molten metal; while the DC voltage is applied, withdrawing the substrate from the molten metal; and cooling the substrate. The method may be used to form reticulated electrodes for other types of batteries or capacitors. Also described is a method for making a reticulated ceramic substrate, including: adhering mineral fibers such as milled glass fibers on the surfaces of a reticulated PU substrate with an adhesive; coating the reticulated PU substrate with a ceramic slurry with the assistance ultrasonic waves; pre-baking the dried slurry at a low temperature to vaporizes the polymer substrate; and baking the substrate at sintering temperature of the ceramic slurry.

Reticulated electrode for lead-acid battery and fabrication method thereof

A dual mode headphone has a band positioning the dual mode headphone on one of a head or neck of a user. A pair of first housings is provided wherein one of the first housings is formed on each end of the band. A dual mode headphone circuit is provided and has a dual-output acoustic transducer module positioned in each of the pair of first housings. The dual-output acoustic transducer module allowing for both air conduction and bone conduction of sound waves.
