A cosmetic composition providing a unique tactile sensation comprising about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a nonionic emulsifier; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of sodium polyacrylate; about 0.5 to about 15 wt. % of aluminum starch octenylsuccinate; about 0.1 to about 20 wt. % of a fatty phase that is a liquid at a temperature of 25° C. or more, the fatty phase comprising one or more fatty compounds; and water, wherein the cosmetic composition is an oil-in-water emulsion and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. The nonionic emulsifier includes at least polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate. Methods for treating damaged skin with cosmetic compositions are also disclosed.

The instant disclosure relates to a rheological-modifying and stabilizing polymer blend, cosmetic compositions comprising the polymer blend, and methods for stabilizing, for modifying viscosity, and for treating the skin using the polymer blend or using cosmetic compositions comprising the polymer blend. The instant disclosure relates to a cosmetic composition containing high amounts of lactone polyols and to methods for treating skin with the compositions. Cosmetic composition for improved penetration

A cosmetic composition includes a non-acid-resistant-grade ultramarine dye, a stabilizing agent, at least one additive, and water. The ultramarine dye may be present at a concentration of about 0.1% to about 0.4%, by weight, of the cosmetic composition and may include a trisulfur radical anion. The stabilizing agent may include baicalin and may be at a concentration of about 0.2% or less, by weight, of the cosmetic composition. The cosmetic composition may have a pH in the range of 6.5 to 8.0. A method of stabilizing a cosmetic composition includes forming a cosmetic composition including a non-acid-resistant-grade ultramarine dye, a stabilizing agent, at least one additive, and water. The method also includes adjusting a pH of the cosmetic composition to a predetermined value. The stabilizing agent inhibits degradation of the ultramarine dye, thereby stabilizing the cosmetic composition and inhibiting generation of an odor caused by degradation of the ultramarine dye.

Stabilized cosmetic compositions

A two-phase cosmetic composition includes an anhydrous phase and an aqueous phase in which the anhydrous and aqueous phases are separated by a single-phase interface. The anhydrous phase includes a plurality of fatty compounds and at least one thickener where the plurality of fatty compounds is present at about 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, and the aqueous phase includes an acetic acid component.

The instant disclosure relates to masks, methods for making masks, methods for improving film elasticity of masks, and to methods of treating skin with masks. The masks are formed by applying a mask base composition onto a surface, the mask base composition comprising: (i) alginic acid and/or a salt thereof; (ii) hectorite (lithium magnesium sodium silicate); (iii) one or more water-soluble solvents; and (iv) water; and exposing the mask base composition to a crosslinking composition for a time sufficient to crosslink the alginic acid and/or a salt thereof and form a final mask, the crosslinking composition being an aqueous liquid comprising (i) one or more polyvalent cations of one or more metals; and (ii) water.
