A brush has a brush head having a main body and bristles extending therefrom, with the main body having a cylindrical shaft with a rounded cylindrical circumference. Semispherical bodies having bristles extending therefrom are adapted to be removably secured to axially opposite ends of the main body. These bristles radially extend 360° around both the cylindrical circumference of the main body and each semispherical body. A handle for the brush and an adapter for coupling the brush to a handle, are also provided.

A multiport pump and adapter kit for use with a water circulation system for a body of water includes a centrifugal pump assembly having a plurality of outlet ports oriented in different directions and at least one adapter having a first open end configured and dimensioned to be removably connectable to one of said outlet ports, a second open end configured and dimensioned to be removably connectable to a water circulation system, and a hollow body connecting the first open end and the second open end.

A filter apparatus is disclosed herein that includes a filter, such as a cartridge, positioned within a housing. The housing includes a lower-section housing and a cover assembly removably attached to the lower-section housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, such as a valve associated with the cover assembly, so as to allow a user to easily switch between various operations on a pool filter, such as between a backwash mode and a filtration mode. The filter apparatus also employs a cage positioned around the cartridge, thereby between the housing and the filter. The cage provides additional support to the cartridge so as to reduce wear and tear of the cartridge. The cover is rotatable about the lower-section housing so as to allow a user to position ports on the cover in any direction.

A dual mode light operated timing device includes a light sensor for generating a light sensor signal when light is detected; a first input device for generating a first programming signal; a second input device for generating a second programming signal; a switch for connecting and disconnecting power from a power supply to an electronic device; and a processor for receiving the light sensor signal and when light is detected by the light sensor operating the timing device in a daytime mode by controlling the switch based on the first programming signal, and when light is not detected by the light sensor operating the timing device in a nighttime mode by controlling the switch based on the second programming signal.

A pre-filter skimmer system that reduces the amount of debris and particles entering the water filter in order to increase the longevity of the water filter is disclosed. The pre-filter skimmer system includes a chamber including an inlet and an outlet, wherein the water enters via the inlet and exits via the outlet. The water enters a first collector that is positioned at least partially within the chamber, the first collector configured to capture particles of a first size carried by the water. From here, the water enters a second collector that is positioned downstream of the first collector, wherein the second collector is configured to capture particles of a second size smaller than the first size that passed through the first collector.

A weighting system for a swimming pool step assembly includes a pair of weights, a removable cap for each of the weights, and means for removably mounting the weights to the exterior sides of a swimming pool step assembly. The weighting system described herein is easily installed and removed by the user without having to remove the weights from underneath the pool step assembly.

A water bonding fixture is provided herein which includes a shaft and a plurality of electrically conductive plates disposed at one end of the shaft and spaced apart from each other so as to provide a gap between adjacent plates. Each electrically conductive plate defines two planar surfaces each of which are substantially exposed and each electrically conductive plate is electrically connected to each other electrically conductive plate to provide a surface area of conductive surface approximately equal to the exposed surface area of all of the electrically conductive plates. The water bonding fixture is preferably used in conjunction with swimming pool equipment such as pool pumps, skimmers and filters.

A pool cover includes a flexible, water impervious sheet of material having a centrally located float disposed on an upper surface of the material. In an embodiment the float member comprises a closed cell polymeric foam member. In an embodiment the polymeric foam float member is disposed within a pocket formed by a cover sheet attached to the water impervious sheet of the pool cover.
